I have nice 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000A, I'm auctioning for a friend of mine. She's a numbers matching KZ1000A with 39,000 highway miles, the chrome is nice, paint is in fair condition with some fading and normal wear for a bike that's 35 years old. The bike runs strong, the carbs were gone over and cleaned, has a new battery powering Dyna coil packs. It will need a new rear tire in the future. Hard to find 1978 Kawasaki Z1R, Kawasaki's entry into the Superbike war of 1978. Good running, well kept bike. Bike was painted black sometime in the 1980's and the stripe kit to duplicate the 1980 Z1R paint job was added later. There are small nicks and dings but is still shiny and presentable. Seat is cover is a very nice newer duplicate. Exhaust is a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 that's a few years old and in very good condition. Not real loud but has a nice sound. Bike runs good, tank is clean inside and it has no oil or gas leaks. Tires are older but serviceable. Original kickstarter lever that belongs under the seat is gone and stock windshield was replaced 2 years ago. Have the little chrome cover that goes over the seat lock but the spring is missing. Fresh oil change and new battery. Everything works but the fuel gauge. Overall a good rider quality bike or a good candidate for full restoration. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. Here is a very nice low mileage bike that I picked up some time ago. When I purchased the bike it needed a little bit of attention so here is what I've done to it: It has a new seat, new rear grab bar, and had a professional paint job put on it that is fantastic- looks awesome! It has complete airbox system and owner's manual. I replaced the header with a set of very nice stock exhaust from a '79 KZ 1000, they look great on the bike. Published almost everywhere, It starts as a 1978 KZ650 where the cylinders have been bored and sleeved to 830cc with a MTC big bore kit from the late 70s. The upper case has been machined as well.
