Up for auction is a 1977 Kawasaki kz1000a that I just finished restoring.  It is a 74 z1 replica.  The bike was stripped down to the bare frame.

bought this bike off a guy whos girl friend drove it it was lowered and I put it back to stock height bike has been sitting sence the late 80 s motor turns over good with compression the tank will need to be flushed out and I'm shure the carbs will need to be cleaned out nice bike for someone wants to make it there own 14000 original miles wouldn't take much to get it running

1977 KZ400A1 DELUXE Rare model you don't see allot of these bikes they came stock from the factory with hard bags, crash bars, front fairing, integrated lights, rear seat rack etc. I have rebuilt the top end new pistons, rings, valves, seats, gaskets, The bike runs great and will make a great commuter or vintage classic collector. Chrome is nice spokes and rims are nice, tank has 2 small dents but but not bad they look like storage dents from sitting in a garage.

Very reliable and fast! Just changed the oil & filter, new irridium NGK's, tires have lots of life on them, new clutch cable (extra), new valve cover gasket, everything works great & runs solid! Bike runs & idles great once warmed up. New brakes, sprockets, o-ring chain.

Up for action is the 182nd KZ1000 produced in July of 1976, it's a 1977. It's VIN is KZT00A-000282, the first produced in 1976 being KZT00A-000101 (sourced from Kawasaki) and the engine number is KZT00A-000296 (original and correct stagger for this bike). This bike has been repainted (due to clear coat failure in the Florida sun) black back in the early 90s, it's original color was maroon as can still be seen as over spray under the gas tank, side covers, and tail piece.

THIS IS A ONE OFF MATCHING #'S CUSTOM CAFE RACER. A HUGE AMOUNT OF TIME WENT INTO THIS BIKE. IT RUNS VERY WELL AND IS IN SHOW ROOM CONDITION. THE RECENT LIST OF WORK PERFORMED:  THE TINS WERE COMPLEATLY STRIPPED TO BARE METAL, RECONDITIONED AND PAINTED IN PALE YELLOW/ BLACK CHECKERD STRIPE BY A VINTAGE PROFESSIONAL AUTO BODY SHOP.

Bike runs good, shifts good, tires are nice, all the lights work, new seat and grab bar, has a 16" rear wheel, chrome is nice just a little pitting on the front and rear fender, new paint and stripes, new battery, has electronic ignition, super trap pipe with baffle, sounds good, clear title, nice daily rider.

1977 Kawasaki KZ 1000 with 28 k miles and a clear title. This bike was a former 1/4 mile track sprint bike. I had to put over $1,000  into this bike to bring it up to being street legal and riding sound for daily use.

This KZ is in the original Candy Emerald Green color, minor paint flaws but over all beautiful. No broken tabs on side covers, no tank dents (inside isnt spotless but not horrible either. The seat is almost flawless, the bike does needs tires and a chain, the carbs have been rebuilt and a new battery installed.

This is a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 with 55,735 miles on it.  This bike is in great condition and runs like a champ.  Mechanically, it is all stock except for the pipes and a freshly cleaned and oiled K&N air filter.

 1977 Kawasaki Drag Bike, 1197cc engine, has some headwork, .395 cams, mikuni 33mm carbs, MTC lockup clutch, Air Clutch with Button release, Goodyear slick, backcut trans,powder coated frame, swingarm and wheelie bars, co2Air Shifter, great consistant bracket bike. Set up to leave soft, will run 9.70s @ 135, I only leave at 7000rpm and shift this bike at 8500rpm and it runs 10.00@133mph. Motor has about 45 runs since freshened, slick has 18 runs on it, painted about 2 years ago paint in good condition.

1977 KZ650-C1 Cafe Racer Description  This model was offered only in North America (and possibly Japan). It was nicknamed the "Custom" and was introduced as a mid-year model in early 1977. There were few of these models assembled/sold before the model year change to the 1978 models so these are fairly rare machines.

Here is probably one of the nicest KZ1000's around.  As you can see by the pictures it is in extremely nice condition.    The few minor defects it has are as follows: slight stain on the left side of gas tank (see picture), one very minor dent on the top of the tank (see picture),the tail fin has one small scratch, there is some slight surface rust on the bottom of the pipes but there are no holes.  Comes complete with owner's manual, warranty card, and a complete tool kit including the feeler guage.  This bike starts and runs fine, shifts through all the gears smoothly, and all the electrical functions properly.  Both brakes work fine. The bike is 100% drivable and everything works there is not so much as a bad light bulb, it has a clean Ohio title in my name. For local pickup only. And I would prefer cash on pick up.

Up for sale is my 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 A1 that is all stock and has been a daily rider this summer.  The paint is all original and in very good shape. Small area or brake fluid splatter on right front of tank- see pic.

  This is a rare early production 1977 KZ1000 A/1 that rolled off the assembly line in July of 1976. It is frame number 000597 with engine number 000637. There was a total of 27,500 A/1's made in Japan prior to the production moving to Lincoln, Nebraska and a restarting of the VIN numbers at 500,000.

This is a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 (Barn Find). It was plated up through 2012, but hasn't been on the road since 1989. The old retired guy in his 70's I bought the bike from used it to go to Colorado in the summers.

Up for sale is my 1977 Kawasaki KZ 750. I have been riding the bike all summer. It has 25,020 miles on it and runs good.

Cafe Racer that's actually fast. 100mph is nothing for this bike! Very minimalist approach to build which makes it very light.

This is a great example of a classic 1977 KZ650 B, I bought this bike in 2010 and I'm the 3rd owner, It has always been kept indoors and has never seen bad weather, The two gentlemen that owned if before me were older guys and I just turned 56 myself. The bike is mostly original except for the paint, It was professionally painted before I bought it, It is very close to the original red but with a little more metal flake. As you can see from the photos it is gorgeous.

1978 Kawasaki Kz1000 LTD.  This is a super clean, low mile (9,246), and original bike in excellent condition.  Starts, runs, drives, and stops just as it should.  Engine is smooth, quiet, and powerful.  Does not smoke or leak oil.  Original paint is shiny in excellent condition.  Chrome is also excellent.  Seat has no holes or tears.  All electrical items work correctly.  I believe the only non-original part the on bike is the front tire. An excellent example a nearly 40yr. old bike that was bought new here in town and has been well taken care of and not altered in any way.  If you have any questions or would like additional pictures please let me know.

Hard to find 1978 Kawasaki Z1R, Kawasaki's entry into the Superbike war of 1978.  Good running, well kept bike.  Bike was painted black sometime in the 1980's and the stripe kit to duplicate the 1980 Z1R paint job was added later.  There are small nicks and dings but is still shiny and presentable.  Seat is cover is a very nice newer duplicate.  Exhaust is a Vance and Hines 4 into 1 that's a few years old and in very good condition.  Not real loud but has a nice sound.  Bike runs good, tank is clean inside and it has no oil or gas leaks.  Tires are older but serviceable.  Original kickstarter lever that belongs under the seat is gone and stock windshield was replaced 2 years ago.  Have the little chrome cover that goes over the seat lock but the spring is missing.  Fresh oil change and new battery.  Everything works but the fuel gauge.  Overall a good rider quality bike or a good candidate for full restoration.  Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer.  Please check shipping costs before you bid.  On Oct-03-16 at 16:54:47 PDT, seller added the following information: It has been brought to my attention that the tachometer may not be original.  That could be the case.  There could be other items replaced, repaired or missing too as this is a 38 year old bike that I have only owned a short time.  This is not being advertised as a completely original or pristine bike.

 One owner 1978 Kawasaki KZ 650 comes with original title from 1978 brand-new NGK plugs super clean well taken care of clean classic bike. New Metzler tires ,chrome four into one header super trap exhaust.front header pipes are not rusty or dented up they are very nice. Derale cooler,also comes with original stock air cleaner and rubber collars.Some white paint missing on the 650 emblems a few very small rock chips  otherwise original factory paint in great shape  a small amount of paint bubbling on the right control [see pic] taillight has a hairline crack hard to see in the picture starts runs and drives  well above good condition superclean classic no corrosion on the wheels all the chrome is in great shape.

Published almost everywhere, It starts as a 1978 KZ650 where the cylinders have been bored and sleeved to 830cc with a MTC big bore kit from the late 70s. The upper case has been machined as well. This was a complete case split rebuilt documented with pictures (uploaded on my website) The turbo kit is from ATP American Turbo Pak (ATP branded intake manifold, turbocharger RayJay F40 and exhaust manifold and pipe), just like the one that equipped the Kawasaki Z1R-TC back in 1978-79.

Not many of these made. Sold only in U.S..  All original except new battery 2015, 2 teeth smaller rear sprocket (original included w/ extra counter-shaft sprocket), O-ring chain, 1,000 mi.

You are looking at 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000. This is a bike a found sitting in the Florida weather for some time. The bike has rust and the engine is frozen up.

I purchased this bike in 2009 for my then 17 year old son.  It was in sad shape and was last plated in 1982.  It had 3200 miles on it.
