Kawasaki Other description

This is a 1977 Kawasaki KZ1000 (Barn Find). It was plated up through 2012, but hasn't been on the road since 1989. The old retired guy in his 70's I bought the bike from used it to go to Colorado in the summers. Since sitting, he turned the motor over every year to keep the motor from becoming stuck.
The motor has very good compression. This bike would be a great restoration project. The serial number on the frame is KZT00A-503095 and the engine is KZT00AE011097

Heavy rains made the Ricky Carmichael-designed track in Daytona’s tri-oval section even more difficult than the GOAT conceived, with the terrain rough, choppy and rutted. Series point leader Ryan Villopoto became an early casualty of the track conditions, sliding outon the second corner.

Colin Edwards Joins Forward Racing CRT Squad for 2012

Fri, 02 Sep 2011

Colin Edwards will join the Forward Racing team to compete in the 2012 MotoGP season as a Claiming Rule Team entry. Edwards, known as a good development rider and an even better quote machine, is the first rider to officially sign on with a CRT. Forward Racing may be more familiar to some race fans by its former name, Hayate Racing, the outfit that ran the Kawasaki ZX-RR with Marco Melandri in 2009 after Kawasaki pulled out of MotoGP racing.
