2005 Triumph Bonneville - Low Reserve (2005)
This auction bid is for a 2005 Triumph Bonneville. I am the original owner and purchased the bike new in early 2006. The bike is stock with the exception of a Triumph accessory tachometer kit and a BellaCorse air injection eliminator kit. Mechanically the bike is very solid, and I've never had a mechanical issue in 7+ years of ownership. I just installed a new battery I would rate the cosmetic condition as fair to good as the bike was exposed to road salt several years ago while being trailered and there is some corrosion on the engine cases, the left exhaust pipe and one side of the front wheel. The tank, side covers, fenders and seat are in perfect condition. There are a couple of maintenance issues that need to be addressed as follows: The tires are original and the rear tire needs replacement. Front tire has 25-30 percent of tread remaining and probably has a year left The headlight high beam is burned out and as such the headlight should be replaced (low beam works fine) I have reflected the cosmetic issues and tire/battery needs into the reserve price, which is roughly 50% of the NADA used book value. I purchased a new bike recently and can't afford to keep both, so this bike is priced to sell. This is a great opportunity acquire a mechanically reliable, reasonably priced bike as a daily rider (fuel mileage is a consistent 50 mpg!) or a great platform for restoration/customization/performance work as the cosmetic issues can be easily addressed (I had planned a full restoration with new exhaust/jet kit but don't have the time). This bike is offered as-is with no warranty. I will provide additional information on condition as well as additional photos upon request. '71 Triumph Bonneville (1971)
'71 Triumph Bonneville 650 with 13,600 original miles. The motor has never been apart. This not a ground-up restoration, but a good rider. The paint and the exhaust are not original. It has a Sparx electronic ignition, after-market coils, new turn indicators (repro),the clutch plates have been replaced, excellent tires, and the registration has just been paid (good until Nov. of 2014). It doesn't leak oil and starts on the first kick. It had a dent in the gas tank when I got it and when I parked it the side stand failed. Now it has two dents in the gas tank (pictured). Also, the center stand would rotate too far forward and barely hold the bike up. Those two issues have been repaired by Classic Cycles in the city of Orange, Ca. The bike runs great, sounds good, is fun to ride and, to the best of my knowledge, there is nothing wrong with it. Buyer must arrange all shipping. I will do what I can to help. 1960 Vintage Triumph Bonneville Drag Bike..Original Dragster (1960)
1960 Vintage Triumph Bonneville Drag Bike A great vintage drag bike but could easily be built into a bike to run at El Mirage or the Bonneville Salt Flats Here is a very cool vintage Triumph Drag Bike built in the 1960's. It is unique in every way. The frame is built of square tubing with a built in oil tank and a hand fabricated aluminum fuel tank. I have NO history on this motorcycle at all. I bought it as a rolling chassis and at the time it had an old original 18" Avon drag slick on it. I replaced the tire with a new M&H Drag Slick. The transmission should be gone through and has a broken clutch adjustment cable lug (I have the broken piece). The engine was built by a builder in Bakersfield, CA and has original T120 cases and an original tachometer drive side cover . It is missing the drive piece for the tachometer that bolts to the inner gear.It was built as follows and has not been run : Original 1960 Bonneville Triumph cases : Nine bolt top end with Bonneville 9 bolt head : Racing valves and springs : High compression 9.5:1 piston set up : One piece crank w/new bearings and re-grind : Polished con rods : High lift race cams : Balanced and lightened crank set up It has a BTH magneto with a fixed timing gear, I know it is hot but don't know the history. Needs to be timed I was told the front end was rebuilt with new tubes and it looks right. Things I know need to be done: Needs carburetors and manifolds I made a plate that fits between the frame rails widen the frame so the rear wheel can be centered. Needs to be welded. The rear brake plate fit a slot in the frame but I would highly advise setting up the brake with a traditional real stay bar. To my knowledge this was the last model year that Triumph manufactured this bike with a carbed engine and I can tell you from experience that the Carb version is much livelier and spirited than the EFI models that I test road. 1967 TRIUMPH 650cc BONNEVILLE MOTORCYCLE BLACK BEAUTY (1967)
I have up for bid a 1967 Triumph Bonneville 650cc motorcycle. This '67 bike is not a restored barn find, rather it is a well maintained, annually ridden bike. As you can see, it has a premium black paint job. The bike has electronic ignition, the frame and engine numbers match. It has its original monobloc Amal twin carbs. It runs and shifts as it should. Usually starts on first or second kick. All lights work, as well as the guages. As you can see in the one picture on the right side of the tank, the tank emblem has a small amount of road rash on the top. It was done before the tank was painted and the tank does not reflect any road rash damage. There are the usual very small dings, a very small stone chip on one side cover (about the size of a pencil lead), a few minor scratches and the like, but nothing that detracts from the bike. The mufflers are in like new condition. The paint job is probably 20 years old, but has a like new shine. The tools pictured have always been with the bike and they are included. I have a clear Ohio title in hand in my name. A paypal payment of $500.00 is due within 2 days of end of auction and is non-refundable. Balance is due at pickup if not being shipped. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the return springs on the accessory center stand for the Triumph Tiger 800 and 800XC may not always return to its original length, potentially leading to a loose center stand and a fracture in the spring wire. Riders may detect a rattling sound from the loose stand and in the case of a fractured spring, a scraping sound caused by the center stand dragging along the road.

Thu, 25 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for the 2011 and 2012 Tiger 800 and 800XC adventure tourers due to a bug in the engine management software. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Triumph Tigers’ 800cc Triple engine may stall during deceleration. Riders may also notice lower RPMs indicated on the tachometer at idle.

Thu, 11 Aug 2011Triumph issued a recall for optional accessory top boxes for the 2011-2012 Sprint GT sport tourer and the Tiger 800 and 800XC dual sports. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the top box locking handle is missing a clip lip to ensure a proper lock on the rear rack. Without this clip, the locking mechanism may not be secure, potentially leading to the top box falling off of the motorcycle.
