Triumph Bonneville America - 2002 (2002)
This bike is one owner, has been garage kept and has had all recommended maintenance. It has all Corbin seating (saddle w/backrest, pillion and backrest), sissy bar with rack, Triumph saddlebags & summer screen, chrome battery cover, engine gaurds, Metzler ME880s with about 1000 miles on them, Ikon rear shocks with adjustable damping & preload, and Bub pipes. Carbs have been jetted by the dealer to suit the Bub pipes, don’t recall the new jet dimensions. There are few other small dress items like chrome front brake cable retainer, clutch (see pic), and rear peg mountings (pics) (also have all stock parts except pipes). This is a very nice, well maintained bike, comfortable to ride and gets a lot of attention. Bike has never been dropped. I bought the Bub pipes used and the guy that had them did drop his bike in some gravel, so VERY minor scratches on one pipe that you don’t even notice unless pointed out. Wed, 22 Feb 2012New spy photos have emerged capturing an updated Triumph Street Triple. Spanish publication Motociclismo has published photos of the 2013 Triumph Street Triple. The most noticeable change is a new low-slung exhaust replacing the current model’s dual underseat exhausts.

Wed, 22 Feb 2012Spanish magazine Motociclismo has acquired photos of what it says will be a new 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 sport-tourer. According to Motociclismo, the 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 uses many of the same components as the recently launched Triumph Tiger Explorer, including its 1215cc inline Triple engine and shaft drive. The Trophy 1200 will likely also get traction control and ABS like the Tiger Explorer, as well as touring-oriented niceties such as an adjustable windscreen, heated grips, panniers and cruise control.

Fri, 13 Jan 2012Icon have just released a sequel to last year's popular drift video that featured Nick Brocha on a stretched ZX10 racing alongside a Corvette-Powered RX7. Upping the stakes this time, Brocha is joined by Ernie Vigil, both onboard Triumph Speed Triples that have been built for the sole purpose of moving forward, but sideways. Taking up the rear is a supercharged 550hp Ford Mustang Cobra, quite apt really seeing how the film ends. Like the recent Jorian Ponomareff 'Drift Gymkhana', its great to see another video that does justice to the talent on show.

The rise of branding in MotoGP and a rider wanting to market themselves, born from Barry Sheene and his retention of no.7, saw riders decide against displaying their finish from the year before. Rossi, who on winning his numerous championships, stuck with his famous #46 in defence of his titles, instead of stamping a great number 1 on his bikes.

Thu, 05 Jan 2012If you were a child of the seventies, you may remember Craig Vetter’s name from his previous work as a stylist (Triumph Hurricane) or his huge fairing business, Vetter Fairings. Since then, the 69 year-old industrial designer has become obsessed by fuel consumption - or rather highlighting how poor motorcycles are delivering impressive figures. He originally ran a series of fuel challenges in the eighties and now the economy has taken a nose dive, he has resurrected the competition, figuring that the time is now right to highlight these issues again. According to Vetter, three of every four American gallons of petrol is imported – reason enough to devote his time to raising awareness.

It's being put together by a small team of people headed by former MCN editor and lifelong fan of British engineering, Jim Lindsay. "The driving force behind the project," says Lindsay, "Is to showcase some of the amazing expertise that exists in the British motorcycle industry." Enigma is being designed as a sharp-handling road bike with all-day comfort as one of the key goals.
Triumph Reports 2011 Financial results
Thu, 01 Dec 2011Triumph reported a 7% increase in unit sales and a 47.8% increase in operating profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2011. According to Triumph, the British manufacturer sold 48,684 units over the year, a 7% increase from the 45,501 units sold the previous year. Operating income totaled 22.3 million pounds (US$35.0 million), a large jump from the operating income of 15.1 million pounds (US$23.7 million) reported last year thanks to a more efficient use of working capital and reduced costs.
