    I purchased this bike two months ago with the hope of restoring it and riding it.  I have brought it back to life but now it's time for someone else to enjoy. This bike sat since1997 most of that time in a garage.  The good: bike runs perfect, fires right up every time, all the electronics work perfectly,  new oil and filter, new plugs, new battery, carbs were completely gone through, tank was cleaned out, brake fluids changed and bled, clutch fluid changed and bled, cooling system flushed.  The seat is in very good condition as I purchased it from another bike being parted out, the controls are in very good condition,  the paint on the tank is near perfect with one small chip near the filler, the tires have plenty of tread remaining but should probably be changed given their age.  The bad: the main side panels show the bike has been dropped and the paint is cracking, many scratches and some cracks, a few missing tabs, the bike clearly sat outside for some time as the clear coat is peeling off the side, front and rear panels and the windscreen is yellowed, the mufflers have some scratches.   I have put 250 miles on this bike since bringing it back to life, many of those in 95 degree weather and no problems.  The bike is out of the CA DMV system so there are no back fees due.  The bike comes with a bill of sale and clear title.  Buyer to arrange and pay for shipping.  Please feel free to email me any questions you have.  Thanks.

    Very clean and in good condition 1999 Honda CBR1100xx.  This is an 1137cc fuel injected Sport Touring larger sized sport bike.  I have toured the U.S. and Canada on this bike and gone on twisty roads all over the local area.  This is not a small track bike.  This is a very fast and powerful bike that retained the production motorcycle speed record for several years.  I would not recommend this motorcycle for a beginning rider.  California Title in hand and all fees current. This auction includes many extras that need to be mentioned: HID front high/low headlights, wavy rotors on the front wheel, mirror extenders, Corbin gunfighter seat without backrest (seat #1), Corbin gunfighter seat with removable backrest (seat #1), custom rear fender under tail with turn signals and license plate mounting location, Silver (European Style acquired via trade) wheels, carbon fiber lower swing arm/chair guard, spare set of original colored black wheels (purchased over the internet for an extra set of tires and front has small dent near bead of the front rim), front wheel lift for removing front tire, black smoked windscreen, and custom tank cover.  It has D&D aftermarket performance exhaust.

While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
