I'm selling my beloved 2013 Honda CBR500R in Excellent condition. It's literally 2 months old with 23xx miles and has been babied and garage kept. I purchased it locally and have been meticulous with its care. Changed oil at 40 miles and 600 miles and first service was performed (including valve check - next one not due until 16k miles). Warranty good thru and registration paid up until August 2014. I've upgraded the following: Leo Vince Corsa Aluminum Slip On Exhaust (sounds unbelievable!) Adjustable Shorty Levers (way better than stock) Front Fork Preload Adjusters (allows you to adjust to your weight - another must have) Pro Grip Tank Pad (Carbon Fiber look) Reflective Rim Tape This bike gets amazing mileage and is the perfect commuter, 1st bike (forget the Ninja 300 or 250's) or weekend fun bike. She's super stable on freeways and great fun in the twisties. All the reviews on this bike are glowing. I'm reluctantly selling only because I have an amazing opportunity to move into my dream bike. 1987 Honda CBR1000f Hurricane (1987)
I purchased this bike two months ago with the hope of restoring it and riding it. I have brought it back to life but now it's time for someone else to enjoy. This bike sat since1997 most of that time in a garage. The good: bike runs perfect, fires right up every time, all the electronics work perfectly, new oil and filter, new plugs, new battery, carbs were completely gone through, tank was cleaned out, brake fluids changed and bled, clutch fluid changed and bled, cooling system flushed. The seat is in very good condition as I purchased it from another bike being parted out, the controls are in very good condition, the paint on the tank is near perfect with one small chip near the filler, the tires have plenty of tread remaining but should probably be changed given their age. The bad: the main side panels show the bike has been dropped and the paint is cracking, many scratches and some cracks, a few missing tabs, the bike clearly sat outside for some time as the clear coat is peeling off the side, front and rear panels and the windscreen is yellowed, the mufflers have some scratches. I have put 250 miles on this bike since bringing it back to life, many of those in 95 degree weather and no problems. The bike is out of the CA DMV system so there are no back fees due. Selling most of the units in Asia or Latin America, the XR150 platform is one of the most popular entry-level dual-sports, and its introduction to the US comes with some welcome perks; time tested engine and components plus a 20-year history of available parts – both OEM and aftermarket. Honda’s reliability is legendary, and this little XR150L is likely no exception.

We’ve known the XR150L and the low-seat CRF300LS were on the way, after the two dual sports were included on a list of motorcycles certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
