1976 Honda CB (1976)
This 400F was locally owned with 26,497 miles on it. The gauges were nice but show the typical white line so I had the gauges rebuilt to start with 0 as I restored the entire bike. I took the bike down to the bare frame and had it beautifully deep gloss painted after it was thoroughly media blasted.2016-10-05 04:34:24Washington, Illinois, United States08600 -

1976 Honda CB (1976)
I am selling my 1976 Honda CB 400F Super Sport. The bike is a well-maintained survivor with just under 14,000 miles. The bike has always been garage-kept. I bought the bike from a collector in 2010; I rode it very occasionally and maintained it impeccably. Since I've had it, I've had the carbs rebuilt and synchronized. I've also replaced the shock seals and had the front brake master cylinder rebuilt. The tires (Avon Road Riders) are relatively new (under 500 miles). The chain was also replaced, and the battery is new this summer (Yuasa, of course!). All work was done with NOS Honda parts. While the bike looks incredible for its age, it is NOT perfect; after all, it is not a restoration. The bike does, however, have patina and character as any classic should! The bike does not have any significant flaws that detract from its appearance or value. The tank and exhaust have suffered no dents, and the engine is leak-free. The paint is in excellent condition. It runs as it should, and the transmission shifts perfectly through all the gears. I wouldn't hesitate to ride the bike anywhere.2016-08-28 04:42:51Johnstown, Pennsylvania, United States1312090 -

THE YOUNG MAN WHO FIRST PURCHASED THE MACHINE RODE IT FOR 1793 MILES BEFORE GOING INTO THE SERVICE, HE STORED THE MACHINE CORRECTLY WHEN HE LEFT, NO GAS, NO BATTERY, FOGGED THE ENGINE, METICULOUSLY COVERED THE BIKE WITH 3 TIGHTLY FITTED COVERS INSIDE FAMILY GARAGE, SADLY HE DID NOT COME BACK. 1976 Honda CB (1976)
Nice example of a bike that got parked and forgotten after only 1473 miles...original tires. Engine is loose and turns freely and shifts through all gears.....I pulled a spark plug and got spark. Bike has not been started for years but I don't think it will take too much to get her going. Carbs have not been touched so expect they will need good cleaning. Gas tank is decent interior ...you could get away with it but I would reseal. Front brake is without fluid so expect it will need rebuild.2016-08-09 04:43:18Morristown, Tennessee, United States18200 -

1976 Honda CB (1976)
I have for sell my '76 CB550. I acquired it, non-running, two months ago (it had been sitting in a garage since the year 2000, unridden). It came with the clean, vintage set of Jardine pipes seen in the photos. It has a clean and clear NC title and registration in my name. In the past two months, I have done the following to the bike: Carbs were soaked/deep cleaned, individually and meticulously All new carb internals (all the jets, emulsion tubes, needles, valves, and rubbers were replaced) Carbs were bench synced Valve check (all are in perfect spec - .002" on intake side and .003" on exhaust side) Original coils/coil wires resistance test done - all in perfect spec Points and ignition timing set to spec (the bike has newer Tec points setup) Fresh oil change and oil filter/filter O-ring New Dunlop K70 tires (front and rear) New battery New air filter New airbox boots (no cracks or dry-rot in any of the rubbers along the intake) New intake manifold O-rings New starter button switch/throttle housing (the original switch was broken, the replacement is made identically to the original) New stainless steel front brake piston/piston seal/brake fluid (the front brake caliper was cleaned very well in the process of replacing parts) New points cover gasket New NGK plug caps (upgraded the original 10K Ohm caps to the 5K Ohm version for better spark) All new OEM-spec NGK plugs New halogen headlight housing with removable/replaceable HI/LOW bulb New ABS gloss black side covers New aluminum turn signals and Lucas style tail light (I have original signals, rear signal/grab rail and tail light boxed up) The bike is in great shape. Everything on the bike works as it should - all switches, gauges, seat latch/lock, indicator lights (even the neutral light works correctly 100% of the time), gas cap latch/floating gas gauge - everything on the bike works as it should, with no broken parts or stripped out bolts anywhere. The original seat has absolutely no rips or tears. It idles, runs and rides great - it is a very fun bike on the mountain twisties. The only issues across the bike are the missing center stand and the fact that it could use some cleaning (I haven't started cleaning/polishing the bike - I've been focused on making it perfect mechanically since I acquired it and, of course, riding it); however, just a simple swipe of steel wool on the rims, fenders or pipes makes the chrome shine very nicely. It would be an easy bike to clean up as it only has minor dirt/dust buildup and very minor surface rust.2016-07-19 04:37:12Lenoir, North Carolina, United States179100 -

1976 CB 750 - All original. Pretty much complete in un-restored un-molested condition. It needed a new exhaust and had some cam chain noise so I started to tear it down but other projects got in the way, now its been sitting for a number of years and I'm not going to get to it anytime soon so its time for it to go. Needs header pipes and mufflers - needs the cam chain adjusted the carbs rebuilt and I'd do a new chain and sprockets too.2016-07-11 04:44:57Wabasha, Minnesota, United States237671 -

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride
Fri, 03 Nov 2023A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.
