    Here is another in a long line of restorations we have completed.  Each year we build and restore several XS1100s in various years and models.  We restore customer owned and our own collection.  This is our most recent Special for someone to own and enjoy.  Those who have owned one know just exactly what this bike is.  Those who have not, would be in for a pleasant surprise.  This is a frame up total restoration.  Although we restore all makes and models of vintage bikes, the XS1100 is our speciality.  This is the first of several XS1100s we will be listing in the upcoming weeks.  We build these bikes for people to not just look at, but to ride.  We would like to make you one of our valued customers as we stand behind the bikes we sell.  Below is a list of items performed in restoration.     XS750SF   From the pictures you can see she's in nice shape.  The tank has some scratches but other than that there isn't much to tinker with.  I'll be honest, I don't really want to sell her but I cant ride 4 bikes at once.  down side, she needs a front tire.  up side, I just put in a new AGM battery, rebuilt the pet cocks and the carbs then spent 3 hundred bucks having them professionally, checked and sync'd.  The forks were rebuilt in 09. She is completely stock with the exception of the highway bars (they are Yamaha bars though) and the seat.  The seat pan is original but the previous owner, Andy, had it redone. I have had her since 08 and she has been garage kept during that time, as far as I know, she always has been.

    This Yamaha XS 1100 was really great bike when I bought it, but it's been sitting neglected in my garage. It will need a new battery and the carbs sunk plus anything else that a  bike that sits idle will need.I have 5 motorcycles and I know I will never get around to getting the three that are not running back on the road.  Every spring I tell myself I'm going to get this bike running.  And then I spend the summer riding my two bikes that do run.This Yamaha is basically all stock except for the ape hangers I put on several years ago.  And the big dent in the side of the tank-- I added that, too.I have the clean California title ready to sign over.  If you're a motorcycle mechanic, this could be a great bike for you.  Everything is all there.  The bike is complete.  If you are not a mechanic, this is probably not the bike for you.If you have any questions please post them on here.  I will try to answer them as best I can.  The bike is located in Salisbury, NC, which is not too far from Charlotte or Winston.

    Selling my Yamaha XS 650 - 1980I purchased this motorcycle approx 2 years ago.Now has only 3,800 milesPrevious owner started to style after a Cafe Racer look.I have owned plenty of bikes, but this Yamaha is the mostfun to ride / VERY Reliable - Starts every time - No Issues.After having Knee surgery, it  just doesn't make sense o keep this great motorcycle. PS: The bike has some ( dents / dings / scratches ) - Original paint on tank, but fender paintis not original.I do have the Yamaha ( emblems and original seat )The pics make the bike look a bit too clean - could use a professional polish, etc...

    This is a Yamaha XS 650 special which has been lightly customized with low bars, bar end mirrors, fork boots, Harley style mufflers, and a unique seat cowl.  The bike has a clear PA title signed by the previous owner.  I noticed that while the mileage on the title states 28000 the mileage on the speedometer is 23500.  The bike started easily on fresh gas and idled and accelerated smoothly on a 10 mile test drive.  I did not exceed 65 mph as the tires are dry and have sidewall cracks, but the bike seemed to have plenty more speed on tap.  All gears shifted well and all lights and instruments work. The mufflers are not as loud as they look and bike has a deep mellow tone.  The engine does not make any unusual noises.  The brakes felt a little spongy and probably need some attention.   There is a dent in the tachometer housing (see picture.)  There is a deep scratch on the top of the front fender but is is hard to see (see picture.)   There are small tears at the front lower corners of the seat cover that have been sewn up (see picture.)

    This is a very nice bike, in great shape, starts easy, first or second kick has electric start as well but will need repair, I just use the kick start. Bike has nice metallic orange paint in good shape with one small chip on the tank. the engine does have an oil leak from the camshaft seals, it has never leaked enough to bother me into fixing it.

    Bike was built from a clean 8800 mile 1980 xs.TC bros. hardtail,Pamco electronic ign.,XS charge pma conversion,Mikuni round slide carbs with uni pod filters.New sportster tank .TC bros ridged rear fender,both painted with House of Colors ultra orange pearl.Has tapered neck bearings,new wheel bearings ,clutch pushrod seal replaced.New gold chain,new  front and rear brake pads.Bike was completely gone through and everything that needed replacing was and problem areas of the xs updated.Starts on 1or2 kicks cold and like half a kick when warm.Pipes were made from stock headpipes cut off and heat wrapped.Custom welded on sidemount liscence plate holder with old school tail light,wiring ran thru frame.The electric starter is on bike,just not wired in.Gel battery.Valves and timing chain adjusted.

    Here is a 1980 Yamaha XS Eleven with 54,813 miles that needs work,i picked this up locally from a party who wasnt completely honest about the condition of the bike he said it needed carb work,runs with the choke on only,battery,brake work and has a charging problem it doesnt charge might need a stater,but he didnt mention anything about the smoke that comes out of the left muffler and the oil that leaks a little from somewhere,i arrived at his house and he had it running i said its smoking out the left muffler and he said dont worry about that it will go away i had to use starting fluid to start it,i got home with the bike and it started without starting fluid but still smoked maybe even more than it did when i was talking to the seller so im guessing it needs valve seats,or valve work,or rings,or maybe the carbs are leaking gas down the cylinders or all of the above so im passing the project onto the next person who wants to repair it,tank is clean inside,throttle and choke move freely,i took a picture of the tach while it was running and got lucky for a secound and snapped a picture of the tach at  about five thousand rpms,clutch lever pulls in,tranni shifts threw all the gears good and i asked the seller if the tranni was good and he said yes,front brakes were dragging on the rotors so they had to be onbolted to move the bike,horn works,right turn signal works,left comes on but doesnt blink,headlite taillite and brake lite work,bike has a custom paint job and a touch up pen same color goes with also the tool kit,selling as is,buyer pays shipping and finds there own shipper not sure there prices i can meet them at my door and i dont really have the room to store the bike after the auction ends,paypal accepted as payment if your not local,i have a clear Title,auction may end early because a watcher on ebay might want to purchase the bike before the auction ends,Thanks for looking and good luck bidding Carl in forest lake minnesota 55025.
