  • 2003 Yamaha V-Star 650cc Classic - XVS65A - 6,200 Miles - Great Starter Cruiser!2003 Yamaha V-Star 650cc Classic - XVS65A - 6,200 Miles - Great Starter Cruiser! (2003)
You are looking at a 2003 Yamaha V-Star Classic with a 650cc engine.  Model number XVS65A.  It is purple in color with gray accent striping and lots of chrome.  Purchased in April 2013 as a starter bike.  I believe that I am the 3rd owner.  Phenomenal gas mileage and easy to ride.   Flawless performance, just time for me to move up to the 2006 Harley-Davidson Street Bob I have sitting in my garage. New PA state inspection valid until August 31, 2014.  Passed with flying colors.  Front disc brakes at 6/32", and rear drum brakes at 5/32".  Front Bridgestone tire with 3/32" tread, and rear Metzeler tire with 9/32" tread.  Carburetors have recently been cleaned, and new NGK spark plugs will be installed before sale.  There is some light scuffing on the rear fender where the passenger pillion used to sit; I'm going to try to buff most of this out, but in any case, it won't be noticeable should you choose to install a new passenger pillion.  They're available for about $50 or so through eBay, and I can help you source one if desired.  There is a small area of some residue on one of the exhaust pipes, but I am going to try to buff that off as well.  Chrome is in wonderful shape, as is most of the paint with the exception of the defects I've mentioned.

Yamaha R6 to Continue Racing in Supersport Next Generation Category

Mon, 17 Jan 2022

No R6 replacement for the near future Last month, the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) provided the first look at the new “ Supersport Next Generation” models that will redefine middleweight racing class. Starting with the 2022 season, the World Supersport class (and their equivalents in various national racing series such as MotoAmerica) will add new models such as the Ducati Panigale V2, MV Agusta F3 800, MV Agusta F3 Superveloce, Triumph Street Triple RS, Suzuki GSX-R750, and the 636cc Kawasaki ZX-6R. The primarily 600cc models that previously represented the class will continue for one more season, before the Supersport Next Generation models take over completely in 2023.

Most Anticipated First Rides Of 2022

Thu, 30 Dec 2021

A look forward to the year (and rides) to come You’ve read our weeks long tribute to 2021 in the form of the MO Best Of awards. You’ve had your chance to debate the validity of our selection of the Harley-Davidson Pan America as the Motorcycle of the Year. Now that 2021 is almost completely in our rear view mirrors, it’s time to shift our gaze to the future.

Yamaha Tenere 700 Raid Prototype First Look

Tue, 23 Nov 2021

Return to sender Well the seat was a little high, at 34.6 inches, but that didn’t stop the Yamaha Ténéré 700 from doing very well in last summer’s blockbuster middleweight ADV comparison. Keeping it simple and keeping the weight down was a great recipe for success, and now Yamaha is fixin’ to take it to the next level with a Ténéré 700 Raid, for which this machine it showed at EICMA serves as prototype. Yamaha Announces MT-10 And MT-10 SP For 2022

Mon, 22 Nov 2021

This news should come as a surprise to nobody, but it’s still equally as exciting to finally get the official confirmation: Yamaha is bringing an updated MT-10 to the US. Maybe more exciting is the announcement that Yamaha is also bringing an MT-10 SP here as well. We reported earlier this month that a new MT-10 was coming, but at the time, the report was only confirmed for Europe.

What's The 2022 Yamaha R7 Like To Ride On The Street?

Wed, 13 Oct 2021

The R7 is a barrel of laughs on track, but is it any good on the roads? Credit: Photos by Evans Brasfield | Videos by Paisley Kerr and Sean Matic I make it a point to tell everyone who is willing to listen (and even some who aren’t) how much fun the new Yamaha R7 is. While most people get up in arms about the name of the bike, I’m over here having a blast actually riding the thing, preferably at a race track.

2021 Lightweight Naked Bike Shootout Smackdown Comparo Review

Mon, 27 Sep 2021

BMW G310R vs Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 vs Kawasaki Z400 vs KTM Duke 390 vs Yamaha MT-03 You know what they say: It’s more fun to ride a slow motorcycle fast than a fast motorcycle slow. Yet another example of conventional wisdom baloney. It’s actually more fun to ride a fast bike fast, or even a medium-fast one.

2021 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT First Ride - Video

Mon, 20 Sep 2021

Trizzle's thoughts, now in video form. Photos by Joseph Agustin | Videos by Ray Gauger and Sean Matic The definition of a sport-touring motorcycle has gotten a bit blurred lately with adventure-touring bikes encroaching on the space. A good bike in either genre agrees that you need to be able to pound out miles and do it in relative comfort.
