I got this bike ( 1969 TR6 #s matching) from a man that has owned it since 1972 he said it was last rode in the late 1970s last started in the late 90s it has just over 14 thousand miles I got it cleaned it up and looked it over it dose have some rust and light pitting on most of the chrome the gas cap was painted wrong handle bars tires in bad shape along with some of the other rubber the paint is faded and there is a few dings also the tachometer glass is cracked and the rings around the gauges are dinged I have a clear title and the #s match I also have ignition key but no fork lock key the motor rolls and the transmission shifts as it should I do not have the time to restore it as I have other projects so I am selling I will work with any buyer on shipping and will ship worldwide if needed let me know what you think and I will do my best to answer any ?s this bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end auction early2016-08-13 04:46:51Grant, Michigan, United States1416000 -

This is an extremely rare vintage Eric Cheney frame Triumph 650 ISDT Desert Sled. Frame number TR1 26 Engine number DU34050 It's in fantastic condition, starts 1-2 kicks, very tight bike. Speedo shows 947 miles. Has Works Performance shocks and many cool vintage bits such as frame mounted air tank with hose to reach front & rear wheels. Metzeler tires have very little use. Chrome rims very nice and straight. This bike has been in a private collection for decades. The 500cc Triumph twin engine was done by the late Jim Strohmeier and chassis work by Matt Hilgenberg of Speed & Sport. Frame was nickle plated, rims powdercoated and laced with SS spokes/nipples, new wheel bearings, replated hardware, seat cover, fork seals, tires & tubes. I have a vintage classic Triumph TR6R 650cc motorcycle. I got it about a year and a half ago and got it into a somewhat decent, safe, rideable condition. When I got it there was a lot wrong and I've done quite a bit of work to get it to where it is good to ride. I hate to sell it since I love riding it but my daughter has had some medical problems and I need to help her out. Most everything that was replaced as new was around a year or so ago. I've put almost 3500 miles on it since so there will be some wear for the new items. Bike is currently registered as an Antique and has a clear transferable title in my name. Frame and engine are matching numbers. Details both good and bad. As I said this is a rider and will make a good project for someone or just take it out and enjoy it. Up for sale is one completely restored Cheney /Triumph 500 MX I was told there were less than 50 of these produced with the twin 500 I bought the bike 8 years ago from a guy here in California and was his fathers since new . It was negleted through the years and needed to be restored I took many pictures and took it all the way apart , Took original 1971 Triumph engine to Performance Cycle and had them completely rebuild the engine and transmission Cases and head were tumbled and covers were polished I have the original 2 into 1 down pipe and is in perfect shape and re chromed Frame and components were striped and nickel plated to orignal Hubs and akront rims were polished and laced up with stainless spokes from Buchanan INC.One fender was missing and the other was a plastic one I contacted Simon Cheney and he found new front and rear fenders , Tank decals , and some other small missing parts I needed . Purchased last year from a close friend in Dallas, Texas. The engine was brought back to life after some decades by Big D Cycle. The engine seems to run quite well, but it has not been test ridden. Bodywork was completely redone in Dallas also, by the same folks who do Keith Martin's work for Vincent restorations. It's gorgeous. Otherwise, while the bike rolls well, it still needs a little TLC to become concours. I’ve held on to this TR5T Trophy Trail the longest because it is easy to start (the 500s are much easier than the 650s and 750s). I'm selling my triumph T-140 bobber and as you can see everything has been touched if it's not painted it's chromed the motor was opened and completely gone through it runs as good as it looks !There is a lot of custom one off pieces that are fabricated welded and sent out to chrome the hard tail is a David bird 6" stretch with 2.5" drop all tig welded, PM rear brake caliper, All wiring runs through the frame as well as the return oiler line that feeds the top rockers, It has a boyer electronic ignition, 18" rear and 21" front tires the amazing paint was done by Headcase Customs in West Covina the bike won 1st place in Best Paint category at the David Mann show in Ventura no matter where you go it just grabs people's attention it's truly a beautiful bike I've just lost interest in ridding. 2015 Triumph Daytona 250 Spied
Fri, 29 Nov 2013Spy photographers have captured images of Triumph‘s upcoming 250cc sportbike. The new sportbike (we’re calling it the Daytona 250 until Triumph tells us otherwise) is one of two new 250cc single-cylinder models Triumph is designed primarily for India, where Triumph officially started operations this week. There is a very good chance however the Daytona 250 and its naked roadster sibling will be exported to other markets including here in the U.S.

Mon, 18 Nov 2013With all the new motorcycles Triumph presented earlier this month at the 2013 EICMA show in Milan, Italy, we were hoping to see the company’s new 250cc models. Unfortunately, the new small-displacement Triumph models (which made our list of Top 10 Motorcycles to Watch For at EICMA) were not yet ready to be revealed, though Triumph did offer us a glimpse of what to expect, with a sketch of its 250 sportbike. At Milan, the company referred to the sportbike as “Triumph’s New 250″, though it will get a proper name when it’s officially, presented as a 2015 model, likely at next year’s EICMA show or at Intermot in Cologne, Germany.

Tue, 05 Nov 2013Just as it did with its Thunderbird family, Triumph revealed a new bagger to its America cruiser line at the 2013 EICMA show. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage Originally revealed in CARB documents as the America Horizon, the Triumph America LT adds a deattachable windscreen, pillion backrest and leather saddlebags to turn the midsized America into a serviceable light tourer. The America LT is powered by the same air-cooled 865cc parallel-Twin with a 270-degree firing interval as the regular America and the Speedmaster cruisers. Performance numbers are the same, with Triumph claiming 60 hp at 6800 rpm and 53 ft-lb.

2014 Triumph Thunderbird Commander, Thunderbird LT Models Outted in CARB Documents
Tue, 15 Oct 2013An executive order released by the California Air Resources Board reveals two new additions to the Triumph Thunderbird cruiser lineup. Joining the base Thunderbird and the Thunderbird Storm (both of which have already received CARB certification for 2014) are two new versions, the Thunderbird LT and the Thunderbird Commander. According to the executive order, both new T-birds will be powered by a 1700cc engine designated as the ETDXC1.70KMM, the same engine family designation assigned to the parallel-twin engine powering the Thunderbird Storm.

From the wire wheels, the minimal bodywork, and the exposed engines which give off a thunderous bark, I’ve always loved looking at old Triumphs, BSAs and the like from the 60s. I’ve never owned one though. The reason is simple: old British bikes are needy little maintenance machines notorious for the odd oil leak.
