I purchased this excellent CT 70 about two years ago.   Since that time I have added more motorcycles than my garage can handle and am now in the process of downsizing.    This CT70 has sat mostly and looks almost too good to use but she should be used.    Mileage is at 2368 but the engine has been gone through and rebuilt.   Below is a description of what has been done to the bike: Motor: Top end completely rebuilt, machine shop bored, honed and surfaced the cylinder,  new OEM Honda Piston and ring kit installed @ .75mm over,  new OEM Honda top end gasket.  New OEM valves ground and ceeted,  new OEM Honda Valve seal and head was also surfaced.   new DID timing chain,  new keihin carb.    Runs like new with great compression. Paint: Frame, swing arm and chain guard were stripped to bare metal, primed wiht self etching primer,  two coats of sandable primer, then three coats of color and three coats of clear.  Paint job looks really nice.   New graphics were installed after the paint cured.    All other itme stha needed painted black or silver were also completed. New Parts: CHP Handle Bars.

FOR SALE  is my little Honda CT 70.  It has  ---- miles on it, clear SD title.  I have removed the turn signals both front and rear.  I have them in a box that goes with it.  The reason is,,,,,, I lower the handle bars,  shut the gas off,  drain the carb,  fold up the foot pegs,  and load  it in my airplane.  I take the rear seats out and lay it on its side,  then I have wheels wherever I go.  This is the 4th one I have had.  The turn signal and horn button do not work,  but I have a genuine Honda replacement in the bag for it.  This little baby is in my shop in Kadoka,SD, which is 90 miles east of Rapid City SD,  right on Interstate 90,  exit 150.  I can hold it as long as needed for the buyer or someone representing the buyer in my shop, so there is no hurry for a pick up.  I am a 76 year old man and as far as I can tell this one is all original and genuine.  Not repainted or modified in any way.  It is the best one I have ever owned.  The pictures speak for themselves,  bid with confidence!  My cell # is 605 390 7777  if you have any questions.  Thanks and good luck bidding.

Barn find 1974 Honda Trail 70,CT70.This is an unmolested, original Honda 70.This is the way the bike was found,I decided not to clean it,just get it running.Looks like the previous owner recently made an attempt to get it running by replacing spark plug and points.I acquired it non running,to get it running I cleaned and flushed the gas tank, changed fuel lines and it took a couple tries of cleaning the carb to get it working properly, has not been rebuilt.Replaced spark plug, cap, points, condensor. The 70 now runs very smooth, although to me sounds like there is a very small exhaust leak near the head,I could be wrong.  I have yet to see another ct70 with the original turn signals intact, has the original tires no dry rot at all,has the original key.Brakes still work well, speedometer works, horn works, rear brake light is on,right side turn signals light up but do not flash, left side does not light up,headlight does not light up. There looks to be a small tear in the seat but it does not lift up.Frame, wheels, fenders have some surface rust. There is no tool kit or manual.

Getting a Taste of Honda’s E-Clutch Technology

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
