You are bidding on a 1982 Honda CBX.  If you are reading this advertisement, then you already know the iconic nature of the Honda CBX. With it's powerful inline six cylinder engine, it has become one of the hottest collector motorcycles in the market.  I bought this bike a year ago. I rode it once - for 50 miles, and it was a blast.

1982 Honda CBX - C Inline six cylinder collectable classic Clean CA title current registration Beautiful bike  Mechanically perfect Ready to ride needs nothing.  Coming out of a private collection that is being refocused and downsized Low original miles = 13+K The CBX was Honda's first production 6 cylinder road bike and reset the bar for superbike performance when introduced in 1978.The CBX's advanced DOHC 24-valve inline six-cylinder engine was its outstanding feature.   Premium priced and more bike than most folks could handle, sales were modest. Hoping to boost sales with a revised concept in 1981, Honda repositioned the CBX into the sport touring category with the CBX-B, adding Pro-Link monoshock rear suspension, air-adjustable front forks, a sleek fairing and trim side cases.

I'm selling my 1982 CBX that I've owned for around 9 years.  The bike overall is very clean and runs excellent the only mechanical issue it has is the brakes squeaked a little bit from sitting all winter when I rolled it out of the garage for pictures (all my old Hondas do this after hibernation so I don't really consider this an issue)  It does have some scratches on the right side saddle bag from tipping over in a parking lot where it sunk into asphalt while on the center stand and fell onto its right side.  Other than that to the best of my knowledge the bike has never been wrecked or had any damage.  I bought it from a Honda shop manager who owned it for years and he had recently replace the pipes with new old stock Honda 6 into 2 pipes when I purchased it, and they still look amazing.  I replaced the tires a few years ago and really haven't had the time to ride as I have a young child and the tires really don't have any miles on them.  The bike does have some oxidation on engine covers and slight discoloration in CBX decals on side covers which seems to be common for these bikes.  The bike runs good and would make an excellent addition to any collection.  I have tried to disclose all known faults with this bike to the best of my knowledge, feel free to contact me with questions and any requests for specific pictures.  Mileage may increase slightly.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements I will try my best to work with any licensed/bonded shipper you choose or you're welcome to pick it up in person..$500 Deposit required within 48 hours of auction end.

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
