1983 BMW R-Series (1983)
This is your chance to own the world famous, award winning "Stealth Beemer" Featured in the BMW MOA magazine 8/'94. I've owned it since 1985 and hate to see it go. But I just don't ride anymore and it deserves to be on the road gathering bugs and miles. Not tucked in the corner of the garage covered in dust and shame.2016-11-14 04:47:41Akron, Ohio, United States4224648 -

1983 BMW R-Series (1983)
Possibly the most dependable fun to ride bike that BMW made. It completely gone over by the BMW dealer in Grand Rapids. New battery new Master cyl, tuned up ready to ride. I would not be afraid to take this bike anywhere. I have put 100,000 miles on R65's starting in 1978 and never had a problem. I would not be selling this bike but I am disabled and have to move to a trike. The bike fell down at a gas station and the odometer broke. So, the mileage has to be listed as unknown It read 27,000 miles at that time and has not been used much since. delivery is on you but if you live in Michigan I will bring it to you for free, probably drive it if I can. I honestly think this is the best open bike ever made and is just plain fun to drive.2016-07-15 04:53:47Charlotte, Michigan, United States2732000 -

1983 BMW R-Series (1983)
1983 BMW 800cc air head built to shred the mountain roads, it's tuned perfect, the carbs have been rejeted for the header. It started life as a R/80rt & had a full fairing so a lot of weigh has been removed, it's less than 400lbs now and has a great power to weight ratio and real good balance due to the low center of gravity with it's boxer engine and with it's dual Brembo brakes it stops on a dime. Everything has been replaced all wearable rubber boots, seals, bearings, even the rubber trim rings on the tach & speedo, neck bearings, fork seals, new customs shocks, 2in1 exhaust header, new over sized tires and lots of little extras..2016-07-17 04:52:42Huntersville, North Carolina, United States249700 -

Up for auction is a 1983 model R65 BMW motorcycle. It has spent lots of its time in a garage or storage. It has not been regularly ridden for the last two years, but the engine, gearbox, drive shaft, and final drive oils; the front brake fluid; and the front brake pads were all changed a few weeks ago.2016-07-25 04:56:22Lexington, Kentucky, United States2819000 -

Located in New Orleans, Louisiana 31,562 original miles. A rare bike and increasingly sought after as only 1000 of them ever made it to the US Widely considered to be the best handling bike BMW ever made. It handles well on pavement as well as the dirt and is sufficiently nimble. Bike is running and in good condition. Paint is all original with minor scratches and typical fading. Clear title.2016-11-20 04:51:32New Orleans, Louisiana, United States314,500.00 -
1983 BMW R100 (1983)
This motorcycle needs to used. I have owned it 1988. It came from “Cue” at House of Triumph in Elmsford NY with 68,000 miles on the clock.. It has always been my second bike, lightly used and garaged. Weekend rides have added about 6000 miles. It now shows just over 74,000 miles. In the fall of 2011 it underwent substantial mechanical restoration at Max BMW (Brookfield Ct) which included rebuilding carburetors, draining and cleaning fuel tank, new brake pads and rotors at the front and new brake shoes at the rear, new center stand, air filters, new throttle and choke cables, new horns, new fluids (fork, brakes, new top-end seals. Total investment was $5100. It has a fork brace, café faring, original grips, lots of tread on Metzler tires. “Easy Clutch” is installed. (http://www.benchmarkworks.com/articles/howto/clutch.html ). Bike is now in Stuart Florida.2013-09-03 09:54:52Stuart, Florida, US74,0006,450.00 -

You are bidding on one 1983 BMW R100RT running project bike with only 10,298 miles. I got this bike from a friend of mine who had purchased it from an elderly gentleman. The bike did not come with a title, so I purchased a separate frame (the frame is a 1981 model RT-VIN 6232665) with clear title in order to rebuild the bike onto the titled frame.2016-07-26 04:57:41Towson, Maryland, United States1017108 -

Limited Edition Vespa 946 Snake Celebrates Lunar New Year
Fri, 17 Jan 2025Vespa probably isn’t the brand you’d think would be celebrating the Lunar New Year and honoring the Chinese zodiac, but for the third year in a row, the Italian brand has done just that with a limited edition 946 scooter. The 2025 Vespa 946 Snake comes after last year’s 946 Dragon and 2023’s 946 Bunny as the third entry in the brand’s Lunar Collection. We can probably expect the collection to expand over the next decade to complete the Chinese zodiac’s 12 animals, with a Horse-themed model for 2026.The 946 Dragon came in a muted golden color with a bold green dragon graphic on the front shield, while the 2023 946 Bunny had a more playful look, with a lime green color and a cartoon rabbit on the shield.

2025 Harley-Davidson FLHXU Confirmed: Enter the Street Glide Ultra?
Tue, 24 Dec 2024Harley-Davidson has been pretty tight-lipped about its 2025 model lineup so far, but Motorcycle.com can confirm that it will include at least one new touring model designated “FLHXU”. Considering the Street Glide is the FLHX, it’s a safe bet that the new model will be a Street Glide Ultra, which somehow has never actually existed before. For those unfamiliar with Harley-Davidson nomenclature, Ultras are Harley-Davidson’s big-rig touring models, typically equipped with fairing lowers, a Tour-Pak combination topcase and passenger backrest, plus other amenities for racking up miles in comfort.
Best Naked Motorcycle of 2024: KTM 1390 Super Duke
Fri, 20 Dec 2024The 1290 Super Duke was already a ridiculous motorcycle with the amount of power it had, all wrapped up in a fairing-less package. I thought we had reached peak levels of power, torque, and displacement – especially in naked bikes – and the industry would shift its attention towards electronics to make it all manageable. But then KTM went and threw the playbook out the window with this, the 1390 Super Duke.

Tue, 17 Dec 2024Finding the right pieces to fit your plans Photos by Alyssa Bridges. One of the wonderful things about adventure riding, is that you can go from highways to trails in the blink of an eye – or a slight adjustment of your tire pressure and ride-mode. What may not be quite as easy is picking riding gear that can do the same.
Motorcycle.com Best of 2024
