I have for sale a restored 1974 DT125A Yamaha Enduro. Here's the story: my Dad bought a farm in Minnesota, and this bike was in the "barn". I brought the bike home to be restored by a friend Gary Jones from Norco, CA. If you know about these bikes, you will know that Gary Jones was one of the original builders of the DT series of Yamaha bikes. (you can google him, professional motorcycle racer). Anyhow, Gary stripped the bike down, cleaned/repaired/replaced what was necessary, and now that I have it, i'm afraid to ride and ruin it!! Passing this awesome vintage bike on to you. I've attached several photo's, and by all means, please don't hesitate to ask questions. I don't know exactly how to market it, so feel free to ask about details, or if you want more detailed photo's, I can do that to. I have the pink slip in hand, registered and plated in CA. The rear tire is brand new, front was not in need of replacement. Any parts that Gary had to replace were all factory original items. No aftermarket pieces on this bike. It runs like a champ, electric start or kick start........not the fastest bike in the world but a very respectable one! Thanks for looking ~ again, don't hesitate to ask about specific details. Mark Miller To Ride For Vercarmoto In 2014 TT Zero
Tue, 18 Mar 2014After finishing in fifth place with Chris McGahan in the SES TT Zero in 2013, Italian based Team Vercarmoto, who made their debut in the event in 2012, has announced that American Mark Miller will ride for them in the 2014 race. American Miller is seen as a specialist in the category and boasts a respectable track record in the Isle of Man TT Zero class with the runner up position in 2011 and 3rd place in 2012 to go with his 2010 race victory. The American is also one of only three riders to break the prestigious 100mph mark around the iconic 37.73 mile TT Mountain Course on an electric bike, a feat he achieved in the 2012 race.
2015 Yamaha FZ-07 Announced for Canada
Tue, 18 Mar 2014Yamaha announced it would import the MT-07 to Canada as the 2015 FZ-07. Until now, the twin-cylinder roadster had only been announced for Europe as the MT-07; there is no word the FZ-07 will be offered in the U.S., but the Canadian announcement is a good sign it may be coming soon. Revealed at EICMA, the FZ-07 slots in under the three-cylinder FZ-09 (known as the MT-09 outside of the North America) with a newly-developed liquid-cooled 689cc parallel-Twin engine.
MotoGP to Standardize ECU Software in 2016 Season
Tue, 18 Mar 2014MotoGP‘s Grand Prix Commission announced the series will adopt a standardized Engine Control Unit hardware and software programming for all entries starting with the 2016 season. At the moment, all teams are required to use a standard ECU hardware supplied by Magneti Marelli. Teams competing under the Factory option are allowed to use their own proprietary software programming while Open option participants must use standardized software.
2014 AMA Supercross Detroit Results
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Yoshimura Suzuki‘s James Stewart captured his third win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season and 48th 450 class victory of his career, tying him with Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time win list behind Jeremy McGrath‘s 72. Racing before a crowd of 50,856 fans at Ford Field in Detroit, Stewart took the lead from holeshot-taker Cole Seely shortly before the end of the second lap and led the rest of the 20-lap race for the win. Stewart led by as much as 7.1 second but eased off at the end, crossing the finish less than two seconds ahead of Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto.

Yamaha Teases R25 / R3 and Tricity Reveal on March 25
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Yamaha released a new microsite teasing the launch of two models, expected to be the production versions of the YZF-R25 (or perhaps YZF-R3 for certain markets) and the Tricity leaning three-wheeled scooter.
