2012 Triumph Tiger (2012)
For your pleasure is my 2012 Tiger Explorer. It is a blast to ride. Tons of performance, but comfortable and lots of luggage capacity for long trips. I purchased it used from the dealer when the bike was one year old. I am a 54 YO rider who has been riding since I started on dirt bikes at 13. I do not race or abuse my bikes. This one has never been “off-road”. It has been on a couple of dirt roads but only for a total of 10 miles. I purchased it because it is a great combination of comfort, performance, and safety. I have taken it on 1000 mile trips and have been very comfortable. But this is no Gold Wing; it will eat up canyons and back roads with the best of them. With the 137 hp three cylinder 1215cc engine, 6 speed gearbox, and shaft drive, you have the power and reliability to go anywhere! Trips are quite comfortable with the Ride-By-Wire throttle and Cruise Control. Selling 20,000 units since its reintroduction in 2019, the Speed Twin had once topped the charts as Triumph’s best selling model before being unseated by the likes of the excellent standard Trident 660, and now the equally impressive TR400 machines.
