Set up to leave soft, will run 9.70s @ 135, I only leave at 7000rpm and shift this bike at 8500rpm and it runs 10.00@133mph. Motor has about 45 runs since freshened, slick has 18 runs on it, painted about 2 years ago paint in good condition.

    KZ650 KawasakiThis was a really nice find, it was kept in a barn and sat since 1983, it is absolutely a great bike, it is all original it seems to the best of our knowledge as I am not sure about the tires or not, with 9915 original miles the paint is in nice glossy condition with the exception of the small mare on the right hand side.It starts well with use of the choke and runs very nice through all the gears.There is some rusting on the very back of each muffler on the underside portion Just a wonderful color and wonderful bike.

     this is a nice original kz 1000 with 14000.0 runs good from what i can tell the engine has never been out of it and the covers look like they have never been off  bought this bike from a guy that told me that it was his brothers girl friends bike got to believe it because it doesnt look like it has been road hard the bike in general looks great it was garage kept the carbs were drained when i checked the floats they looked great the brakes work good the bike is a great bike for someone that wants a bike from the past

    I purchased this bike while stationed in Virginia and then rode it all the way to my father's home near Branson, Missouri before hauling it to California by trailer. It runs great and I wouldn't hesitate to ride it any where. I did adjust the cam chain, swapped out a set of drag bars and added a new set of AVON tires but other than that I haven't done anything.

    Here is an original 1977 Kawasaki KZ650 , it is a true original survivor , runs very good does not smoke on starting or when warmed up , I replaced the seat with a new old stock one as the bike had an after market stepped seat normal for the period but this one looks better . It does need a starter switch and tach cable , the side covers are correct but have a blue metal flake paint , the stock exhaust seems to clean up well and does not have any rust holes . this bike is an excellent candidate to be come a beautiful restoration .

    Here is probably one of the nicest KZ1000's around.  As you can see by the pictures it is in extremely nice condition.    The few minor defects it has are as follows: slight stain on the left side of gas tank (see picture), one very minor dent on the top of the tank (see picture),the tail fin has one small scratch, there is some slight surface rust on the bottom of the pipes but there are no holes.  Comes complete with owner's manual, warranty card, and a complete tool kit including the feeler guage.  This bike starts and runs fine, shifts through all the gears smoothly, and all the electrical functions properly.  Both brakes work fine. Chrome is nice spokes and rims are nice, tank has 2 small dents but but not bad they look like storage dents from sitting in a garage.

    Up for action is the 182nd KZ1000 produced in July of 1976, it's a 1977. It's VIN is KZT00A-000282, the first produced in 1976 being KZT00A-000101 (sourced from Kawasaki) and the engine number is KZT00A-000296 (original and correct stagger for this bike). This bike has been repainted (due to clear coat failure in the Florida sun) black back in the early 90s, it's original color was maroon as can still be seen as over spray under the gas tank, side covers, and tail piece.

Traction control and updated instruments expected The California Air Resources Board has issued an executive order for what we expect to be an updated Kawasaki Z650RS for the 2024 model year. The update is expected to be relatively minor, adding traction control to the Z650RS. The update would bring the retro RS model in line with the more modern-styled Z650 and the Ninja 650, both of which were updated with traction control for 2023, as well as the Versys 650 which received traction control in 2022.

Credit: Photos by Kawasaki One of the worst-kept secrets in motorcycling is now a secret no more: Kawasaki has announced the Ninja ZX-4RR KRT will be coming to the US in 2023, (hopefully) ushering in a revival of 400cc four-cylinder sportbikes that were all the rage in the 1990s. But unlike the current parallel-twin Ninja 400, which is essentially a budget bike dressed in sportbike clothes, this newest model is worthy of the ZX prefix, as it boasts proper suspension, twin radial brakes, a full electronics suite, and chassis geometry inspired by its ZX-6R and ZX-10R siblings – oh, and let’s not forget – a compact four-banger that will rev to over 15,000 rpm!
