By acting before slippage exceeds the range for optimal traction, the system can quickly and smoothly reduce power slightly so the wheel regains traction S-KTRC confirms conditions 200 times per 2nd and governs ignition, which allows extremely quick response to changing conditions Riders can choose between 3 operational modes, depending on skill level and conditions A level meter on the LCD instrument panel displays how much electronic intervention the system is providing, in real time S-KTRC confirms conditions 200 times per 2nd and governs ignition, which allows extremely quick reaction Riders can choose between 3 operational modes, depending on skill level and conditions A level meter on the LCD instrument panel lets the rider know when the system is operatingKawasaki Intelligent Antilock brakes (KIBS) Advanced track-ready antilock brakes Utilizes a Bosch-built ANTILOCK BRAKES unit that's half the size of a standard unit and considerably lighter KIBS monitors a wide range of data, including front and rear wheel speed, throttle position, gear selection, engine rpm, caliper pressure, clutch actuation and more to help prevent wheel locking High-precision brake pressure control offers a number of sport riding benefits, including rear-end lift suppression, minimal kickback during operation and consistent lever feel ANTI LOCK BRAKES unit is located close to the bike's center of mass, behind the left engine cylinder, which minimizes the effects of the added weight System uses wheel speed sensors already fitted to the non-ANTI LOCK BRAKES ZX-10R (pre-owned for S-KTRC traction control system) A radial-pump front master cylinder provides the ultimate in front brake feel and feedback Tokico radial-mount brake calipers use dual pads and offer a superb initial bite, progressive feel and a high degree of feedback to the rider A pair of 5.5mm thick, 310mm petal discs provides the heat dissipation needed to maintain brake feel and responsiveness during extended heavy use A 220mm rear petal disc gripped by a single-piston caliper provides excellent feel and feedbackRam-air Intake A highly efficient and forward-positioned ram air intake is designed for low intake noise and good intake efficiency 9-liter airbox enhances breathing and power Oval-section intake funnels promote non-turbulent flow at all rpmTitanium Exhaust System Titanium-header exhaust system with hydroformed header pipes and small, lightweight muffler assembly uses a pre-chamber that houses 2 catalyzers for emissions and sound Headers have nearly identical specs to their roadracing counterparts, which makes it easier for riders to increase track performance with the simple addition of a less-restrictive muffler; now there's no need to replace the lightweight and race-spec header assembly Dual catalyzers help the ZX-10R meet strict U.S.2014-01-29 03:33:160

2025 Kawasaki KLX230R / KLX230R S Review
Mon, 11 Nov 2024Designed to inspire addiction Kawasaki would like to think it knows its customer possibly better than they know themselves, and anyone invested in bringing new riders into the sport understands the importance of setting them up for success. A new rider’s first steed should be approachable, forgiving, playful, price-conscious, and cool. Kawasaki has set out to offer the perfect bike on all fronts, and in my opinion, they have succeeded.

2024 Kawasaki Z500 SE Review – First Ride
Tue, 14 May 2024Displacement creeps alongside tech and styling updates Photos by Kevin Wing Every rider can fondly recall their first street motorcycle. Maybe it was a used 1980s “Honda Davidson” cruiser with miles of wear and tear. Or perhaps it was a shiny new lightweight sport bike, candy coated and bright like a Skittle.
2024 Kawasaki Ninja 500 Review – First Ride
Tue, 23 Apr 2024Photos by Kevin Wing Photo/Kawasaki Kawasaki has been dominating the realm of entry-level motorcycles, especially with the introduction of the Ninja 400 in 2018. In fact, they were so capable and enjoyable to ride that I bought one myself and it has become one of my favorite motorcycles in my stable. The Ninja 400 wasn't perfect, and I had my gripes about it.
