I have nice 1978 Kawasaki KZ1000A, I'm auctioning for a friend of mine. She's a numbers matching KZ1000A with 39,000 highway miles, the chrome is nice, paint is in fair condition with some fading and normal wear for a bike that's 35 years old. The bike runs strong, the carbs were gone over and cleaned, has a new battery powering Dyna coil packs. It will need a new rear tire in the future. 1983 KAWASAKI KZ750 SPECTRE----FULL RESTORATION----MINT CONDITION!! (1983)
1983 Kawasaki KZ750 N Spectre that has been fully restored from the frame up and looks showroom new.......Frame was blasted/painted and still has the vin tag-----all hardware was either cleaned or replaced and all wiring was fine and just cleaned......Engine was disassembled and all new gasket kit was installed and valves adjusted(engine ran perfect before)......Everything was then cleaned and refinished using automotive high-heat paint......Carbs were fully disassembled and rebuilt/cleaned/refinished/synchronized and are perfect and run awesome!.......Body paint was stripped and inside of fuel tank was cleaned and coated by a radiator shop and new Black/Gold paint was applied with pinstriping......All new emblems were installed on side covers and tank......Forks were rebuilt with new seals and oil and new shock boots in front and rear----air suspension works great......Wheels were perfect so I just cleaned them and installed new tires and flushed/re-oiled the gear drive assembly.....Everything works like it should and runs perfect just like a brand new bike. The only flaws it has is on the top-left side of the tanks pinstriping there is a bad spot in the striping itself----really small......There is a TINY ding the size of a pen tip on the right-side top of the tank-----REALLY tiny and hard to see......The left mirror has a cloudy spot and 1 scratch. Selling this as a project bike that needs very little to get on the road again. I bought this bike about two years ago. Just have too many projects in my garage and not enough time. These are the items that need attention: Needs a new battery, a starter clutch (a replacement starter clutch and gaskets included in this auction), a clamp for one of the exhaust heat-shields, fork seals (replacement seals and fork oil included) and a Kawasaki emblem for the generator cover. Here’s the good stuff: Only 6315 miles showing on the odometer. The paperwork I received with the bike indicated the mileage was correct, although I don’t believe this was garage-kept throughout all the years. Vintage 1980 Kawasaki KZ 1000 G-1 Classic - Fuel Injected & Runs Great (1980)
Make us an offer on this bike!! You never know!! This listing is for a beautiful and almost all original 1980 KZ 1000 G-1 Classic. Produced only 1 year, the G-1 Classic was very limited in production and was Kawasaki's first fuel injected motorcycle. Very few are left running on the original fuel injection system. A G-1 Classic has been my personal bike for over 10 years and there is a simple secret to keeping these bikes running. The fuel injection system is VERY VERY sensitive to voltage change. If you keep a good charged battery in this bike at all times along with a Battery Tender hooked up at all times you should have no problems. This is an almost all original bike - from the paint, exhaust and on to the seat cover. The clutch and front brake levers still have the plastic coating from the factory. The fuel tank inside is almost like new. The only non-original part I can find are the hand grips, the speedometer and tachometer. The original speedometer was an 85 mph. I'm assuming it's been on there since the old days as the previous owner of 5 years knew nothing of the change. The previous owner also added foam comfort grips. While the paint is all original and in overall good condition, it shows it's age in several places as you can see in the pictures. All the chrome is in great overall condition for it's age. The left front case has some peeling as you can see from the pictures. 2014 World Supersport – Phillip Island Results
Mon, 24 Feb 2014The 2014 World Supersport season opened in dramatic fashion after a red-flagged restart turned the 18-lap race into a five-lap sprint, with MV Agusta making a triumphant return to the top of the podium for the first time since 1976. The Supersport event began with a hard-fought battle between three-time champion Kenan Sofuoglu, Kev Coghlan and Michael van der Mark. Sofuoglu and his Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R held a slim lead over Coghlan’s Yamaha R6 and van der Mark’s Honda CBR600RR when the race was halted after CIA Insurance Honda rider Jack Kennedy suffered an engine problem and leaked oil onto the track.

The Paton name has been around since 1958, most notably competing in the late ’90s and early 2000s in the Grand Prix World Championship, but has been relatively quiet since the end of the 500cc era. Paton will enter its all-new S1, the company’s first street-legal motorcycle.

Tue, 18 Feb 2014World Superbike testing at Phillip Island came to a close today, and when the dust settled, reigning champion Tom Sykes stamped his authority, setting the fastest time of the test at 1:30.239, just five thousandths shy of the outright lap record held by Carlos Checa. The time was set during the morning session of testing, though nobody was able to best Sykes for the remainder of the day. Eugene Laverty, who was fastest on day one, showed his pace was no fluke as he stayed near the top of the time sheets, ultimately finishing second behind Sykes, with a best time of 1:30.513.

The former champ has a special ability when it comes to lapping middleweight sportbikes as quickly as possible, and it showed again at the conclusion of World Supersport testing at Phillip Island. Sofuoglu’s best time of 1:33.506 was set during the first day of testing, but still nobody was able to beat it.

Under sunny skies and perfect weather conditions, Laverty adapted quickly to his new ride after spending last season aboard the Aprilia RSV4 Factory. The Suzuki offered incredible feedback and allowed him to push right out of the gates, ultimately setting a fastest lap time of 1:30.513.
