The bike is in great overall shape for its age but the known issues are, Brakes stick, rear one has rebuild kit for it thats included, missing a washer for fuel petcock, air filter was taken out and hasn't been replaced, will need battery, (got a Brand new unfilled one I'll throw in if it goes for it now price ) and a Good cleaning and lube. You are bidding on an unmolested, never messed with, 1969 Honda S90, this motorcycle has its original candy red paint and is ready to ride as soon as you get it delivered to your destination. It has less than 2900 original miles on it, with all original cables, turn signals, and chrome fenders, the original rare front fender still sports the factory, amber, reflector that was offered only on the 1968 and 1969 S90. It starts on the first or second kick, and runs great. The inside of the gas tank is excellent, (see photo), and has never been creamed. New tires were installed last year, and have less than 200 miles on them. The tool box under the seat is intact with a few or the original Honda tools. All electrics work as they should, lights, horn, and turn signals. The few minor issues are a small tear in the seat, (see photo), and the gas tank has a minor dent and paint marks, (see photo), the petcock had a leak, so a manual turn off was installed and works great, the front fork rubbers have minor tears. The bike shifts and stops as it should. The rear license plate and license plate frame are not included in the sale. As I said before, this bike is ready to enjoy, nothing to do to it except turn the key and enjoy "meeting the nicest people on a Honda". Honda CX500 (1978)
Cleaning out the garage - I'm downsizing to a condominium and the bikes have to go. I am the 2nd owner of this vintage CX500 that I bought in 1980. It sat in the garage unused for a number of years as I moved on to a Harley Davidson and just lost interest in it. I recently went through it and changed all the fluids and tinkered with it to get it ready for sale. Everything works - all the electrics, drive-train, ... although it does run poorly - unresponsive, surges a bit, but does idle just fine after it's warmed up. No doubt this is because the carbs are likely gunked from sitting too long so they need a thorough cleaning. This bike is all stock (except for the little clip-on windshield you see in the pictures). The tank is clean inside with no dents but there is a blemish to the graphic on the right side where I spilled some brake fluid while filling the master cylinder and a nick where the seat meets the tank (small). Seat is perfect - no rips or defects. The right fork seal weeps a little bit of oil (not bad enough to replace) but I did replace the left one as it was leaking too much. The tires look good but they're ancient and should be changed. It does have the markings on the crankcase showing the that stator has been serviced (original owner took care of that). It has all the normal wear and tear you would expect from a 35 year old bike. While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
