1987 Honda Other (1987)
Lets try this again - listed it in the wrong place last time... This is my 1987 Honda CR-500 that I bought new. It has been kept in storage in my barn for the last 13 years - never left in the weather. This bike was used in the California Desert, and taken care of like a baby. It comes with the following awesome accessories: DeVol rear disc aluminum cover, DeVol hydraulic reservoir protector. Acerbis front disc and fork protectors, Roost Boost, Sidewinder Front and rear Sprockets and Aluminum Bars. This bike is a BEAST, and was running perfectly when I moved to PA where it is now. I only ran Trick Racing Gas, and Castrol at 20:1 so the motor has been protected. This thing has so much power, you can climb a hill in 3rd. The picture is me jumping this exact bike out at El Mirage sometime around 1989 or so. I loved this machine... It HAS been sitting in the Barn for a while, so the front disc is locked, and the tires need to be replaced. I have not kicked it over, since the gas/oil mix in the carb is old too, and that should be replaced along with all the other fluids. The bike comes with no warranty, except my personal word (and I have a 100% seller rating for a reason) that there was nothing wrong with it when I moved to PA. i bought this scooter for a pit bike for at the race track but recently bought a golf cart, so i am selling the scooter this bike starts with ease and will set and idle until you giver gas and take off shifts fine in all 3 gears stops on a dime front and back brakes work well all lights work blinkers work brakelight works headlight work on hi and low, i left the key on for a week so the electric starter drags needs battery charged and i will if i get time but the kick start work nice, the tires do have some lite cracking but thay hold air and have nice tread, has some nicks and scratches and some lite rust on the rims and tail pipe but will clean up nicely, this bike needs to be detailed it will clean up nice, the one side cover has a cracke and needs a repair to the plastic part that fastens to the bike needs some jb weld see pics or just get a new one, the ignition must of been replaced the key does not fit the cylinder to lock the steering or to lock up the helmet so no keys other than the ignition, the seat has no crackes or tears,no owners manul just a clear ohio title witch the title states non actual milage but the bike has 6313 miles on it and the vin matches with title, good running fun bike to ride, i would keep it but i dont have motorcycle license, i was using it at the racetrack for a pit bike were you dont need to plate it or have license, you can call me if you have any questions and want to talk direct 330-703-8032 or email. 200.00 doller deposit thru paypal withen 24 hours after auction and balance due withen 10 days in a postal money order, the bike can stay here for 60 days in dry storage if payed for or if you need more time just let me know i am easy to get along with, thanks for looking2013-09-27 00:32:06Akron, Ohio, US6,3131,000.00 -

When I bought this bike it had just had a top end rebuild. I swapped out the suspension to a CR500 front end, XR600 swingarm and rear wheel, XR350 rear shock, and all the parts needed to make it work. Tue, 11 Mar 2025Celebrating 50 years of luxo-touring Honda/Align Media It was the second and last lap around Barber Motorsports Park aboard the Candy Blue Green 1975 GL1000 Gold Wing graciously on loan from Dennis Doyle, the brother of Honda’s Northeast Press Fleet Specialist, Rob Doyle. Rob discovered the pristine Gold Wing on Facebook Marketplace while searching for a parts bike to restore Dennis’s other GL. The first and only owner of the Facebook GL placed the ad with only 31,000 original miles on the clock.
