THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!!  This is a 1979 Honda Z50R Mini Trail 50, VIN 5007205.  We are selling it for a friend who has had it in storage for about 2 years.  It ran when it was parked, but may need to be gone through, he said they sometimes had to push it to start it.  This bike was modified by a former owner with “long travel” suspension front and rear.  Mechanically, everything seems to work – forks, shocks, brakes, shifter, cables, etc.   This bike is very clean for its age.  There is one small dent on the right side of the gas tank but tank is very clean inside and there are no leaks, either from fuel or oil.  Seat cover has apparently had a small repair on the right rear, nothing big.  Seat cover is still very pliable, no cracks.

  • 1970 HONDA Z50A Z50 50 MINI TRAIL AHRMA PIT BIKE CLEAN RUNS GREAT!1970 HONDA Z50A Z50 50 MINI TRAIL AHRMA PIT BIKE CLEAN RUNS GREAT! (1970)
THIS IS A NO RESERVE AUCTION!!! This auction is for a REALLY sweet 1970 Honda Z50A Mini Trail, VIN 307174.  This is not a perfect museum piece, but HAS been painstakingly restored with lots of TLC.  To start with, the engine has been totally rebuilt (bored first over, new piston and rings, valve job, automatic clutch totally gone through and adjusted, new points, engine cases and head beadblasted, all new seals and gaskets, etc) by a factory trained Honda mechanic with over 40 years of experience.  You will actually have to BREAK THIS ENGINE IN (I’ve put about 10 minutes on the bike since rebuild)!  The following have been replaced with either NOS or reproduction parts: steering bearings, seat (a stencil is included if you want to add the HONDA logo), wheel bearings, fork gaiters and bushings, wiring harness, front brake cable, front tire, rear brakes, headlight bulb, battery and strap, spark plug, drive chain, kickstand, dimmer switch, and of course, fresh oil.  The following HARD TO FIND original parts are still on this bike: air cleaner, complete headlight and taillight assemblies, gas tank badges, chainguard, exhaust heat shield, battery box and rectifier, and factory muffler assembly.  Mechanically, brakes work very well, automatic clutch is excellent, gearbox shifts great all through three gears, all lights work. Carb was completely rebuilt, bike starts on first or second kick and idles nicely.  Cosmetically, there is some minor wear and tear, as to be expected – call it PATINA.

2024 Honda Transalp Review First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes werent really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMWs venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300
