I rode this bike almost daily for a year ten years ago.  It has been stored inside.  With very little work, you can ride it next weekend or with lots of work and money, it can be renovated.  Engine turns over with kick pedal and is not frozen.

I have owned  this bike for many years, I bought it to sort of re-live my youth as I had one just like it in my Junior/Senior year of High School. I was attracted to it initially because it was as original and beautiful as the one I bought slightly used in 1968. It had some issues with surface rust when I bought it so I spared no expense having the entire exhaust system, front and rear fenders, headlight trim and rear shocks rechromed by the best platter in the business at the time, Browns Platting in Kentucky.

Runs and rides just like it did when purchased in late 1966.  Everything on the bike is original except for the silver paint(correct honda code) and the pistons and rings(NOS OEM Honda parts were used)  The bike is in very good condition and comes with all documentation that is seen in the pictures.  Another item worth mentioning are the frame and engine numbers.

This 305 Scrambler came out of a barn in 2004 with 8,700 miles and was rebuilt in '06.  I bored it out and put new pistons and rings.  Also has new electronic ignition system, plug wires, tires, chains (drive and timing), windshield, blinkers, mirrors, sprockets, coils, rectifier...

*** 1967 HONDA CL77 SCRAMBLER *** NICE 1967 HONDA CL77 IN RUNNING CONDITION WITH CLEAN NJ TITLE…I GOT IT LAST YEAR FROM THE SAME OWNER OF IT SINCE 1973. IT HAS BEEN SITTING FOR MANY MANY YEARS WHEN I GOT IT LAST YEAR, I DID JUST ENOUGH TO GET IT RUNNING, WITH PLANS TO DO A TOTAL RESTORATION…HAVE A NEW PROJECT I LIKE BETTER SO OFF IT GOES. THE GOOD IS THAT IT DOES RUN AND DRIVE WITH NO ISSUES, AND HAS A FREE AND CLEAR NJ TITLE, THE BAD…HAS FADED PAINT, SOME RUST AND LIGHT PITTING ON THE CHROME, WILL NEED TUNE UP, CARBS GOING OVER, OIL CHANGE AND MAINTAINANCE.

Very desirable 1967 Honda CL77 Scrambler in need of full restoration.  Certainly a model worth restoring based on current prices of restored examples. Bike comes with clear OH title branded ACTUAL 11,640 miles and is exactly what you see in the photos, nothing more, nothing less. I have not disassembled the bike at all other than removing the spark plugs to confirm the engine turns over.  So, I do not have any other details beyond what you can see in the photos.  If you wan tto know something specific, please ask and I will do my best to answer it.

Excellent condition low mileage (4777) Scrambler.  I recently purchased at an Estate Sale from the widow of the Owner.  According to her - her husband spent a lot of money to "redo" this MC.  He never rode it - Just sat in the garage.  There is a LOT of chrome on the bike and everything looks wonderful, IT is supposed to be a 2 owner Texas bike - I don't know how to verify that but it does not show much if any normal wear and tear.  PO has owned it since 1982. The tires look great and are road worthy.  Chain likewise. I put a battery and gas in it and it started on the second kick.  This thing is way LOUD and very powerful.

Offered for sale is my 1967 Honda CL 77.  This is a very nice example as you can see from the pictures.  Here are the particulars: A previous owner freshened up this bike at some point in the not-to-distant past.  At that time a new speedometer was fitted, and now shows about 950 miles.  The old speedo showed about 12,300 miles at the time that it was replaced.  Obviously, there is no way to know if that was actual, although from the condition of the bike, it is possible.   The tank and side covers were repainted in the original silver and are in excellent condition, probably nicer than when the bike was new.  The frame is original black paint and is in nice condition but does show some wear.  The fenders are original chrome and although they show some age, they are still quite nice, as you can see from the pics.  The chrome rims are in excellent condition.

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
