OVERVIEW On auction is my 2015 Triumph Thruxton Ace Special Edition.   Only 325 of these beautiful bikes were made available in the USA and you won't find a nicer example than this one.   I bought the bike in July 2015 and it's been very lightly (and carefully) ridden by a mature owner (only 1194 miles) and lovingly cared for.   The Thruxton has been garaged (under two covers) since new.   Unfortunately, due to my growing family and work commitments, I no longer have the time to ride, so the bike needs to go to a new home. MODIFICATIONS The only modifications that I have made to the Thruxton was to replace the rear fender, rear light and turn signals with a British Customs fender eliminator kit and small bullet turn signals.   The Thruxton's profile is a lot cleaner with the smaller turn signals and stock fender removed.  All work was done by the professionals at Dylan Brothers in Nebraska (before they shipped the bike to me last year).   No other modifications have been made.  Everything else is completely original stock. EXTRAS INCLUDED Owners handbook Warranty and Service Record book (first service stamped in May 2016 by dealer PJ's Triumph in Albuquerque) Certificate of Authenticity stating the bike's Special Edition status 2 sets of keys Thruxton Ace key ring Original stock rear fender, rear light and turn signals + hardware.

The Thruxton Ace combines the evocative silhouette of a true Triumph classic racer, with a fabulous one-off Pure White and Jet Black pain livery reflecting Triumph's long historical connection with the Ace Cafe. The bike is tastefully co-branded with Ace Cafe logos adorning the side panels, tank and tail section. With low slung handlebars, alloy-rimmed wire wheels and dominating central racing stripe running along the tank to the beautifully sculpted custom seat, the Triumph Thruxton Ace looks as ready to take pole position on a classic race grid as much as sit purposefully outside the local cafe after a spirited morning ride.

I have a vintage classic Triumph TR6R 650cc motorcycle.  I got it about a year and a half ago and got it into a somewhat decent, safe, rideable condition.  When I got it there was a lot wrong and I've done quite a bit of work to get it to where it is good to ride.  I hate to sell it since I love riding it but my daughter has had some medical problems and I need to help her out.  Most everything that was replaced as new was around a year or so ago.  I've put almost 3500 miles on it since so there will be some wear for the new items. Bike is currently registered as an Antique and has a clear transferable title in my name.  Frame and engine are matching numbers. Details both good and bad.  As I said this is a rider and will make a good project for someone or just take it out and enjoy it.  Again what I list as new was new last year and will have some wear due to use.

Getting a Taste of Honda’s E-Clutch Technology

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

2024 Honda Motocompacto Review – First Ride

Wed, 01 Nov 2023

A cult classic scooter electrified and reimagined for Gen Z Photos: Honda/Wedrick Campbell It doesn’t take long to scoot around Honda’s US headquarters in Torrance, California to see how the new Motocompacto makes a lot of sense. Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Wed, 05 Jul 2023

This entry-level offering checks all the boxes for new riders and seasoned enthusiasts alike Photos by Jay McNally The Honda XR150 has been in production since 2003, though up until recently it wasn’t available in the US market. Selling most of the units in Asia or Latin America, the XR150 platform is one of the most popular entry-level dual-sports, and its introduction to the US comes with some welcome perks; time tested engine and components plus a 20-year history of available parts – both OEM and aftermarket. Honda’s reliability is legendary, and this little XR150L is likely no exception.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
