This beautiful Heritage Softail Classic was purchased new from our local Harley dealer (Bumpus Harley Davidson in Jackson, Tennessee) by a friend of mine. I was with him the day he bought it and I rode with him on my bike for many of the 23,008 miles currently on the bike. My friend rode Harleys over 40 years of his life and he took care of this bike completely, having it serviced either seasonally or per Harley-recommended service schedules, whichever came first. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
