For sale:   2005 CBR 600RR – Full Race   I am the only owner and have the title in hand.  Early in 2005 this bike was transformed from a stock 600rr, into a racing beast.  I have used it for trackdays until I moved to Massachusetts.  It has not been on the track in over 5 years.  I have kept it up, but have finally “bitten the bullet” and have to sell it.  I can’t let my baby sit and not tear up the track.    So, this thing is nowhere near street legal.  It would probably be quite the task to get it there.    It has every modification you can think of.  Everything.  This has been fully built by Jett Tuning in California.  The owner/tuner/main mechanic was Josh Hayden’s pit crew chief when he won the superbike championship.  The bike is basically a replica of that bike.  Fast.  I walked liter bikes all day on the track.    The following pictures you will see are a professionally built race bike that has every single mod you can think of.  Here is a bit of a list of some of the mods:   Powercommander dyno tuned by Jett Tuning K&N Air Filter Galfer Wave Rotors – front and back Galfer stainless steel brake lines EBC Racing brake pads – front and back Marvic Magnesium Wheels – front and back (SUPER LIGHT) Dunlop AMA racing slicks – two pairs Vortex Clip on’s – two pairs Adjustable brake and clutch levers, gold, short for use with two fingers HRC Racing throttle Racing ignition Scotts Steering Damper Stomp pads Woodcraft Rear sets Woodcraft Clutch cover YoyoDyne Slipper Clutch Ohlins Racing Suspension – front and back Arrow Titanium Racing exhaust Racing subframe Fiberglass race fairings DID 520 racing chain Vortex Racing sprockets   I am sure I am missing stuff.  If you add all that up, there is easily over 10k in stuff put into the bike.  I also have spare stuff all over the place.  I took some pictures of some of it.  It all comes with the bike.   I have no idea what the miles are on the bike.  Less than 5000 though.  It has been crashed once.  Fixed up by Jett Tuning.  Some scratches here and there but it is a race bike.    I also have a ton of gear if you are interested.  Helmets, gloves, leathers, etc.  If you also want too, I have a trailer hit mount that you can put the bike on to take it home.  No need for a trailer.    I am not thinking about parting this thing out.  Sorry.  I am not trading anything either.  I am willing to take reasonable offers, but this bike has a lot of sentimental value as well as real world value.  I will only ship if you set everything up beforehand and I have the cash in-hand.  Riding it around the street will also be off limits.  It needs tire warmers at least 30 minutes on beforehand and any water will equal a very, very bad time.    Please email me any questions at all!   DO NOT CONTACT ME FOR ANY OTHER COMMUNICATION EXCEPT INTEREST IN THE BIKE.

Is E-Clutch revolutionary or an answer to a question nobody asked? Photos by Simon Cudby Honda has a history of pushing the boundaries when it comes to introducing new tech. Sometimes it’s for the better, other times… not so much.

2024 Honda Transalp Review – First Ride

Fri, 03 Nov 2023

A European staple comes to America Photos by Align Media/Honda Adventure bikes weren’t really a thing in 1989, at least not in the United States. Even BMW’s venerable GS was nothing more than a misunderstood, oversized dual-purpose machine with ties to the Paris-Dakar rally, which itself was only a little more than a decade old at the time. At the back of the dealership where I worked in 1991, parked next to the tire rack, languished a 1989 Honda XL600V Transalp.

2024 Honda Motocompacto Review – First Ride

Wed, 01 Nov 2023

A cult classic scooter electrified and reimagined for Gen Z Photos: Honda/Wedrick Campbell It doesn’t take long to scoot around Honda’s US headquarters in Torrance, California to see how the new Motocompacto makes a lot of sense. Honda HQ is effectively a campus, with multiple buildings interlinked by arteries of short roads. Walking is the usual method people use to get around.

Church of MO: 2003 Honda ST1300

Sun, 29 Jan 2023

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
