I have a very nice Honda CB 750 F Super Sport for sale. This is a very clean and stock motorcycle and of course getting quite collectable. I bought recently with thoughts of restoring but the reality is I don't have the time or space. The only major issue I see is getting the carbs squared away. The PO had owned for a number of years (2nd owner) and sold it as "tried to get running for Spring" as it wouldn't start this year. I found a weak battery and stale Ethahnol fuel and hoped a new battery and fresh gas would get it going. But when trying to start it, the carbs leak pretty bad. I'm assuming it needs a kit with gaskets and floats, etc. With the new battery it cranks well and fires up with a shot of starting spray, and the engine sounds good, shifts and brakes fine. I have only ridden around the neighborhood so far. The paint is very good, a few scratches and small dings as expected. The seat is excellent, tank is clean inside. All electrics work. Exhaust pipes are exceptional, some surface rust on headers but straight and clean with no holes! Tires are not cracked but rear is worn. Rims also are nice. This is a straight, clean bike with a clear title and priced to sell. Sold "as-is" "where-is", no warranty. Please remember it's 36 years old, and cannot be ridden away for any distance. I am selling my 1980 Honda CB750K custom. The good clean title gets between 40-44 mpg in the city carbs rebuilt (new floats, jets, cleaned and set) new carb boots fresh oil change new head gasket new alternator system (new Rick's alternator rotor, regulator rectifier, and stator) new exhaust gaskets new petcock cleaned and sealed tank (POR-15) fresh paint on gas tank and sides, sealed with gasoline proof clear coat new handlebars brake pads changed recently new master cylinder on front brakes new headlight and bucket fresh battery fork seals are good cleaned rust from frame and primed Chrome in great condition (just a few spots of pitting) acceleration is smooth tires have plenty of tread solid rear rack The not so good carbs need to be re-synched (at steady rpms, can tend to feel inconsistent) not sure when the last time it had a valve job, so it may be time couple of oil leaks (around tachometer cable on the head, shifter, front of head by cam adjustment bolt), although, it's not heavy. starter whines a little bit when the bike is cold I love this bike, and I've loved working on it and getting to know it, but it's time. I inquired about buying this bike 20 years ago from an older friend of mine and after all of these years he recently decided to sell it to me. Unfortunately I have recently developed arthritis in my hand making it difficult to drive a motorcycle so I have decided to try to sell it. The bike looks and runs great. I have taken it to the local motorcycle shop and they were impressed with the overall shape of the bike and thought it should sell for at least $2,500 on E-Bay. The bike has weather checks in the front tire and after market header pipes that were put on years ago. Selling most of the units in Asia or Latin America, the XR150 platform is one of the most popular entry-level dual-sports, and its introduction to the US comes with some welcome perks; time tested engine and components plus a 20-year history of available parts – both OEM and aftermarket. Honda’s reliability is legendary, and this little XR150L is likely no exception.

We’ve known the XR150L and the low-seat CRF300LS were on the way, after the two dual sports were included on a list of motorcycles certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
