1952 Harley Davidson FL Panhead (1952)
Please read the entire description carefully: 1952 Harley Davidson FL "Panhead". Older restoration, work mostly done from mid 70s to mid 80s, tanks repainted professionally this past summer. Original wishbone frame in pristine unaltered condition. Original wide glide front end is the adjustable rake version often used with sidecars. I was told this bike had a sidecar attached at one time. Sheet metal is original, not repro. Engine has o-ring manifold seals and has approx 7,000 miles since overhaul by the owner previous to me. Electrics are original 6v with 3 brush generator and cutout. Not an AMCA judging points bike but a very nice rider. To my knowledge the main non correct items include flexible fuel line with inline filter, current carb (see below), chromed oil tank (done by previous owner), many of the fasteners are hardware store, not CP type. I believe the reproduction parts are the bags, windshield, possibly the seat and exhaust. It runs a 1.5" Primo Rivera belt drive inside the tin primary. I have a folder full of receipts from the previous owner's restoration work dating from the mid 1970s to last year when I bought it. Currently has S&S Super E Shorty carb installed but the original Linkert and 7" J-slot air cleaner are included in the sale. Bike runs very well, I have ridden it about 1,000 miles since I bought it 1 year ago. I wouldn't be selling it but I recently had the chance to buy some other things that I have been wanting for a long time so the panhead must go. Clear current Washington title and registration in my name. Sorry, not interested in trades. $2000.00 deposit required within 48 hours of purchase, balance due in cashier's check (all checks must be verified and cleared by my bank or cash in person before the motorcycle leaves my possession. This is an amazing machine! Words can not describe this bike! I will do my best. It is undoubtably one of the baddest bikes on the planet! It has a 120 engine,with a performance tuner, screaming eagle. It is the fastest bike I have ever sat on! Gorgeous blue flames over black with black stripes. Chrome, chrome, chrome. LED lights throughout the engine, they look sick at night! It has a 280 rear tire and a 300 will fit on the rear rim. I chose a 280 as the bike handles beautifully! The tires have 1500 mi on them roughly, and are just over a year old. I had a custom job on the saddle bags. they have metal support built in to keep the bags from touching the rear fender even when packed. The rear seat is easily removed and it has small chrome inserts to cover the gaps from the latches. This bike was originally purchased for nearly 60K!!! It has just over 3000 mi at this point. 65 Panhead project. If you've ever wanted to own a classic 65 Harley Panhead here's an economical way to get one. What I have is a 65 pan engine with a clear title in my name, 65 panheads, 65 timer, 65 trans and inner primary, 65 date coded frame, swing arm, wheels, and brakes, 65 3.5 gallon tanks, 65 oil bag, 65 speedo not pictured but included. The front and rear fenders have later fender tips but I believe they're correct for a 65. The bottom end has been rebuilt and looks fine I have cylinders but don't believe I have the pistons. All the fins look good. The heads were gone through but have cracks at the exhaust valve guides like a lot of them do. I've run pan this way and never had a problem but at my age I'm just not comfortable with the cracks. Take a look at the pictures ask questions I'll help with the shipping but the cost is on the buyer.
