    Up for auction is my 2004 BMW R1200 CL.  I purchased this bike in 2005 from the BMW dealer in OKC and am the second owner.  I put less than 1000 miles on it and put it in storage along with other bikes and cars.  I recently sold my storage facility and am selling my bikes and one of the cars.  The R1200 CL was BMW's ill fated attempt to capture the Harley cruiser market and as they soon discovered, Harley riders just don't buy BMWs. As a result there are not many of these bikes around making them very rare indeed. It's a shame though because what a bike!  It runs down the road with the best of them and that unmistakable oil head purr!  The bike is a traveler's dream with AM/FM/CD, electronic cruise control, heated grips and seat, cruise control and plenty of storage for everything you could need for a week long excursion. The tool kit is complete along with the original owners manual and various supplements.  Everything works as it should with the exception of the latch on the left side baggage compartment which does not engage with the handle mechanism.  There is a faint and small scratch on the left side baggage compartment just under the locking mechanism.   So not only is the R1200CL a rare bike, this is one of a handful with less than 7,000 miles!  Thank you for looking and please don't hesitate to ask any questions you might have.

    You are looking at a 2004 BMW R1150GS yellow in color with 25273 miles the bike is a 1 owner with abs, heated grips, bmw saddle bags the paint is very nice and shiney no nicks or scratches does not appear to ever been down. The only thing I see to pick is the front tire is a little warn to about 35% so it will have a new tire installed by the time the auction is over.     Cleaning out the garage - I'm downsizing to a condominium and the bikes have to go.  I am the 2nd owner of this bike which I bought in 2004 from a private party with 4K miles on it.  I added the BMW right & left system cases and wider & taller windscreen from Wunderlich.  It has normal wear & tear but no damage (never been down) and everything works as it should.  It's due for new tires (last new set went on 7K miles ago); still some tread there but I did have to plug a hole in the rear recently so it's a good idea to replace both.  Bike may have a few more miles on it when you get it as it is my daily driver to and from work weather permitting (~12 miles round  trip).   On Sep-18-13 at 01:59:50 PDT, seller added the following information: This bike is equipped with ABS brakes.

    2004 BMW R1150R  non-ABS oil head twin cylinder fuel injected six speed shaft driven  motorcycle  in good condition  runs , rides , shifts just like it should  the only thing that does not work is the horn .(and this riders knees) I am the second owner I got it in july this year from the original owner I gave $5500 for it. There is nothing wrong with it ( except for the horn) the problem is me, I sold my XR650L this spring because my knees would not allow me to throw a leg over it anymore (Too Tall ) so I bought this to replace it, But it's just a tad to heavy for the knees I'm afraid I'm going to drop it ( and myself ) when getting off it so before I destroy it  I figured I'd try to sell it I know it's late in the season to sell so I'm pricing it to move so I don't have to store it this winter. This is a well taken care of bike, it's been stored indoors , The first owner added many nice features , Like the color Matched Parabellum Scout Fairing , the Sargent leather seats ( front and rear ) and the full size removable BMW Saddlebags the exhaust was modified to accomadate the Full size bags ( see photo ) it had to be lowered to get the left bag on .

Following in the wake of the Biltwell 100 race, my confidence in the 390 Adventure and my ability to pilot it for long stretches off-road soared. The ability to combine the technical skills I learned in the ATX Moto Adventures and Sedlak Off Road classes, along with some good old-fashioned seat time, really paid off. In addition, there were two changes I made to the bike that firmly cemented my trust in piloting it through the sketchy sandy trails – a custom lowered seat from Seat Concepts, and some aggressive knobby tires.

Back in the Black Photos by Fabio Polimeni In November 2022 Italian trophy brand MV Agusta, wholly owned since 2019 by Russian entrepreneur Timur Sardarov and his family, and Pierer Mobility AG – KTM’s parent company – reached an agreement on ‘future strategic cooperation’, as a result of which the Austrian firm headed by Stefan Pierer would acquire a 25.10% stake in MV Agusta via its KTM AG subsidiary. At the first meeting of the newly constituted MV Agusta board on November 15, a capital increase of €30 million was agreed, denoting the sum KTM had paid to acquire its new minority shareholding in the company. As part of this strategic alliance KTM took charge of purchasing all components needed to manufacture MV Agusta’s entire range of models, as well as responsibility for marketing, distribution and after-sales service for MV Agusta on a global basis outside Italy.
