This RT has some wear and tear on it, but runs well and sound good. It should have quite a few miles left in it. It has a Remus muffler. The right mirror needs replaced. There are chips in the fairing and fender paint. The ABS light will not go out and it appears the ABS is nonfunctional. The windshield raises and lowers. It comes with saddlebags. It looks like a Russell seat has been added. Starting this auction low and reserve is reasonable for the condition of the bike. A Kansas buyer is responsible for Kansas sales tax. This special motorcycle was Cascade BMW's (of Kirkland WA) trade show and rally bike explicitly designed and built to advertise just about every aftermarket accoutrement (most by Wunderlich, of which many are no longer produced) that could be mounted on this special cruiser.This motorcycle was then taken to Moslander Rod & Custom (www.moslanders.com)which was responsible for the extensive custom fabrication of the many billet and chrome pieces as well as the incredible custom paint job on this spectacular trade show cruiser, featuring paintwork on the tank, front and rear fenders and side body panels.Mosander’s is famous for their exotic fabrications on their Pebble Beach show cars and hold numerous awards, such as the coveted Dupont TopGun Grand Prize award. Included in the auction are (2) three ring binders of laminated documentation of the incredible build history of this special bike. Also included with this auction will be a chrome show stand by Wunderlich and a battery tender.This bike is a real head-turner and will never cease to amaze whether rolling down the boulevard or at a show or rally. Again this special motorcycle is a one of a kind professionally built, painted and maintained piece of rolling art. The OEM black leather side bags are in near mint condition and look great on or off the bike. The mileage on this bike is a very low 19,200 miles which equates to roughly 1,200 miles of use per year. Even though this bike is 16 years old, you'd never know it by it's timeless design and flawless condition. I can't imagine this bike ever depreciating as anyone who sees this one of a kind masterpiece will only lust over owning it for themselves. new tires, and brakes recently...shocks still strong...bought it 100 k miles and put about 8k of highway on it since...2000 bmw r1150 gs...love thing the thing and wish I could keep it but can't have two bikes :(, according to my wife. Also has two Jesse panniers on the sides, crash bar, and a storage box on the back (serves as great backrest for your passenger. ABS is disengaged on purpose, and rear wheel bearing could need replaced in the future. Feel free to ask me for my mechanic's contact info to discuss his thoughts.

I bought this motorcycle with a bad clutch. This is a very common problem with this bike. I put on a complete new clutch, pressure plate, and flywheel and went through the motorcycle replacing hoses, rubbers, seals and checked the final drive.

Ryan Adams recently reviewed the Svartpilen 801 and found it a “worthy contender in the market that brings its own unique style alongside proven performance.” That theme continues with the new Vitpilen, which brings its own take, with more aggressive ergonomics and a bright splash of color in yellow (a silver color is also available if you prefer something less flashy).
