This is your chance to own the world famous, award winning "Stealth Beemer" Featured in the BMW MOA magazine 8/'94. I've owned it since 1985 and hate to see it go. But I just don't ride anymore and it deserves to be on the road gathering bugs and miles. Not tucked in the corner of the garage covered in dust and shame.2016-11-14 04:47:41Akron, Ohio, United States4224648

You are bidding on one 1983 BMW R100RT running project bike with only 10,298 miles. I got this bike from a friend of mine who had purchased it from an elderly gentleman. The bike did not come with a title, so I purchased a separate frame (the frame is a 1981 model RT-VIN 6232665) with clear title in order to rebuild the bike onto the titled frame.2016-07-26 04:57:41Towson, Maryland, United States1017108

Up for auction is a 1983 model R65 BMW motorcycle. It has spent lots of its time in a garage or storage. It has not been regularly ridden for the last two years, but the engine, gearbox, drive shaft, and final drive oils; the front brake fluid; and the front brake pads were all changed a few weeks ago.2016-07-25 04:56:22Lexington, Kentucky, United States2819000

1983 BMW R-Series (1983)
1983 BMW 800cc air head built to shred the mountain roads, it's tuned perfect, the carbs have been rejeted for the header. It started life as a R/80rt & had a full fairing so a lot of weigh has been removed, it's less than 400lbs now and has a great power to weight ratio and real good balance due to the low center of gravity with it's boxer engine and with it's dual Brembo brakes it stops on a dime. Everything has been replaced all wearable rubber boots, seals, bearings, even the rubber trim rings on the tach & speedo, neck bearings, fork seals, new customs shocks, 2in1 exhaust header, new over sized tires and lots of little extras..2016-07-17 04:52:42Huntersville, North Carolina, United States249700

1983 BMW R-Series (1983)
Possibly the most dependable fun to ride bike that BMW made. It completely gone over by the BMW dealer in Grand Rapids. New battery new Master cyl, tuned up ready to ride. I would not be afraid to take this bike anywhere. I have put 100,000 miles on R65's starting in 1978 and never had a problem. I would not be selling this bike but I am disabled and have to move to a trike. The bike fell down at a gas station and the odometer broke. So, the mileage has to be listed as unknown It read 27,000 miles at that time and has not been used much since. delivery is on you but if you live in Michigan I will bring it to you for free, probably drive it if I can. I honestly think this is the best open bike ever made and is just plain fun to drive.2016-07-15 04:53:47Charlotte, Michigan, United States2732000

Located in New Orleans, Louisiana 31,562 original miles. A rare bike and increasingly sought after as only 1000 of them ever made it to the US Widely considered to be the best handling bike BMW ever made. It handles well on pavement as well as the dirt and is sufficiently nimble. Bike is running and in good condition. Paint is all original with minor scratches and typical fading. Clear title.2016-11-20 04:51:32New Orleans, Louisiana, United States314,500.00

1983 BMW R100 (1983)
This motorcycle needs to used. I have owned it 1988. It came from “Cue” at House of Triumph in Elmsford NY with 68,000 miles on the clock.. It has always been my second bike, lightly used and garaged. Weekend rides have added about 6000 miles. It now shows just over 74,000 miles. In the fall of 2011 it underwent substantial mechanical restoration at Max BMW (Brookfield Ct) which included rebuilding carburetors, draining and cleaning fuel tank, new brake pads and rotors at the front and new brake shoes at the rear, new center stand, air filters, new throttle and choke cables, new horns, new fluids (fork, brakes, new top-end seals. Total investment was $5100. It has a fork brace, café faring, original grips, lots of tread on Metzler tires. “Easy Clutch” is installed. (http://www.benchmarkworks.com/articles/howto/clutch.html ). Bike is now in Stuart Florida.2013-09-03 09:54:52Stuart, Florida, US74,0006,450.00

What’s The Deal With KTM Camshafts?
Fri, 18 Oct 2024Motorcycle.com digs for the truth behind the 790 camshaft hullabaloo Photo by Sebas Romero The internet can be a cruel place sometimes. Keyboard warriors, safe behind the anonymity of their computer screens, can spew words without much thought about the facts or the far reaches of where their words could be seen or heard. What’s worse, seemingly innocent or off-the-cuff remarks can be picked up by a third party and spread like wildfire.
How To Adjust the Clutch Cable on a Motorcycle
Thu, 17 Oct 2024It goes by many names: Clutch free play, clutch slack, or clutch tension describes the amount of free movement your motorcycle’s clutch lever has before it begins pulling on the clutch cable itself. Why does that matter? The clutch installed on your bike is a wear item, and as the friction plates within the clutch wear out from countless engagements and disengagements, they become thinner.

2025 Honda NT1100 Updated for Europe, but Still Not Coming Here
Fri, 04 Oct 2024More than 12,000 sold since 2022, but 0 in North America Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Honda has updated one of its most popular models in Europe, but it’s still not coming to North America. We’ve heard that refrain a lot over the years, and it’s no different for the NT1100 sport-tourer. Introduced in Europe in 2022, the NT1100 is a sport-touring model that shares much of its bones with the CRF1100L Africa Twin.
2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 – First Look
Wed, 02 Oct 2024The Svartpilen 801 has a new roadster-styled sibling, as Husqvarna announces the new “White Arrow” Vitpilen 801. Like the Black Arrow, the Vitpilen adopts the 799cc LC8c Parallel-Twin of the KTM 790 Duke, offering yet a new option to the shared platform. Ryan Adams recently reviewed the Svartpilen 801 and found it a “worthy contender in the market that brings its own unique style alongside proven performance.” That theme continues with the new Vitpilen, which brings its own take, with more aggressive ergonomics and a bright splash of color in yellow (a silver color is also available if you prefer something less flashy).
