I'VE OWNED THIS BIKE FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS, AND I'VE REALIZED THAT I'M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING WITH IT. I'D RATHER USE THE MONEY FOR ANOTHER PROJECT. I FOUND THE BIKE SCATTERED THROUGHOUT A BASEMENT IN GETTYSBURG,PA. THE LAST OWNER PURCHASED IT IN 1969. MUCH OF THE HARDWARE WAS MISSING, SO I HAVE USED GENERIC NUTS AND BOLTS JUST TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE A REAL MOTORCYCLE. IF YOU DON'T SEE IT IN THE PICTURES, I DON'T HAVE IT. I'M NOT SURE WHAT THE SEAT IS FOR...I JUST HAVE IT ITTING ON THE FRAME RAILS. THE ENGINE DOES NOT TURN OVER, AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHY-DON'T BELIEVE IT'S A RUST OR CORROSION ISSUE. Up for bids is a 1980 BMW R100RT 1000cc boxer sport touring twin. This machine was brought into our shop for an oil change by a customer who had just purchased it. Sadly, the customer died while the bike was here......it wasn't here THAT long. Has had the following done recently within 20 miles or so: New Dunlop D404 tires & tubes; 100/90/19 front; 110/90/18 rear; $301.00 combined retail New Brown (brand) side stand; $160 retail Oil & filter change; $45.00 combined retail New aftermarket wind screen We looked over the bike quickly in order to prepare for selling it. It needs: Rear shocks shot.....will INCLUDE a believed to be good used pair off the same model Rear brake disc and left front brake disc are worn Will need a battery but we jumped it and were able to ride the machine Seems to run and drive OK, engine sounds good Krauser bags in decent shape, but WILL NOT FIT because the mufflers have been changed to aftermarket and they're too high We have the lower center fairing piece that is missing in the picture. The bike also has a Reynolds ride-off centerstand and a Reynolds rear rack with Krauser trip trunk. We also have the original right-hand inner fairing pocket lid. Has aftermarket pocket lids. Had a radio in the left pocket at one time and there is a hole drilled in the fairing for an antenna. The bike has a lot of scuffs and scratches, but nothing major is broken. We're selling this machine AS IS WHERE IS and it would make a great restoration, cafÃ© or bobber project. The reserve is low and very fair for what this machine is. 1999 BMW R1200C nice shape 21000 mile runs great,daily rider so mileage may change.the bike is in good shape and needs a good cleaning,but will do that this week end .Im just driving it to work this week and then I'll take care of that.It hase a few scuffs on the top of the bag lids Also the small bar that supports the blinker has lost its finish on the right side.I dont know why but see photo's of both the bags and the blinker support.There are a few small chips on the frame.It has good tires with about 80 % thread. every thing works as it should.The bike is not black it is a verry verry dark purple or what ever they call purple these days. This bike is a 1999 and is in good shape but not show room so please look at photo's good and ask any questions you need.

VIN: WB1048000AZX65142 If youâ€™re reading this ad, you probably already know that this is the granddaddy of adventure bikes and this one is truly set up to go the long-way around. Ready yourself for the journey and in the meantime, enjoy the fall; itâ€™s the best time to ride. This bike is fitted with two BMW panniers, the endure transmission and the premium package. The only items that I know of that are not on the cycle are electronic traction control and tire-gauge monitors. The Electronic Suspension (ESA) is incredible, as are the heated grips, especially in the spring and fall. To top it off, this bike has the 110hp BMW engine; two camshafts and four radially aligned valves per cylinder. Iâ€™ve owed two other boxers and there is no comparison in performance. The bike has been serviced by a tech in our local BMW club, a BMW junkie and one of the best techs that I know. He is employed at our local Harley Davison dealership where he does all of their metric bike work, so I just take my bike there. I have all of the records and all components are BMW. This bike has been serviced more than suggested by BMW. With just over 19,000 miles on it, itâ€™s had seven oil changes, four final drive and transmission changes, brake fluid change, air filter, new spark plugs and on and on. The last full service was performed on 9/11/2013 at 17,927 miles and this included a new set of Metzler Torrence tires. Bike has always been garaged and kept in great condition. The Svartpilen 801 has a new roadster-styled sibling, as Husqvarna announces the new “White Arrow” Vitpilen 801. Like the Black Arrow, the Vitpilen adopts the 799cc LC8c Parallel-Twin of the KTM 790 Duke, offering yet a new option to the shared platform. Ryan Adams recently reviewed the Svartpilen 801 and found it a “worthy contender in the market that brings its own unique style alongside proven performance.” That theme continues with the new Vitpilen, which brings its own take, with more aggressive ergonomics and a bright splash of color in yellow (a silver color is also available if you prefer something less flashy).
