1992 BMW K-Series (1992)
Priced to sell! The Original BMW Superbike BMW’s break with its air-cooled tradition started in 1982 when it introduced the K100, their first inline liquid cooled four cylinder production motorcycle. In September 1988, after continuous development, the company announced the upgraded, fully faired K1. While based on the K100, the new K1 was in fact a different animal altogether. The K1 received the new four-valve cylinder head (BMW’s first-ever 16 valve motor) and an improved Bosch fuel injection system making it, at 100hp, the most powerful production bike that the company had ever built. The K1 was designed as a high speed autobahn tourer capable of cruising at 100 mph for hours on end. Early tests on the bike measured performance times of 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and a top speed in excess of 140 mph. The K1 also received BMW’s new Paralever swingarm (which helped to eliminate the rise and fall from acceleration and deceleration common to shaft-driven motorbikes). All US bound K1’s were made standard with BMW’s ABS braking system. In addition, four-piston Brembo calipers on the K1 replaced the K100’s twin units up front along with a thicker rear rotor. The K1’s frame, while similar to the K100, was also strengthened substantially with larger diameter tubing and slightly revised geometry along with a longer wheelbase to improve stability at higher speeds. In addition, much of the bike’s characteristic high-speed calm was thanks to the K1’s unique bodywork. The wind-tunnel-tested fairing was measured to have the lowest drag coefficient of any production motorcycle to date. Built from 1988 to 1993, only 6,912 K1’s were sold worldwide. Still , the bike was a marketing success as it helped to shift public perception of BMW from a manufacturer of reliable tourers to a producer of modern high-speed sport bikes. The BMW K1 was created to be the company’s flagship, a technological tour de force that nobody would confuse with anything that BMW – or any other manufacturer – had ever made before.2016-07-25 04:56:46Sunnyvale, California, United States710,555.00

1992 BMW K75 (1992)
I have owned this motorcycle since 2006. It was sold by San Jose BMW new in 1992. This is the low seat model. What this means is that the seat is about an inch lower than the standard model. I am 6' 1" with a 32 inch inseam I don't feel that it is too low. Actually higher than my Road King seat. As far as I can tell I am the third owner. (Seller didn't speak much English) The bike presently has 52,492 miles on it. The bike is equipped with a smoked GIVI windshield and a rear backrest/luggage rack. Since I have owned it, the water/oil pump and the heated grips have been replaced by SJ BMW. I replaced the battery and the starter relay in 2007. The bike is always kept on a battery tender and stored in my garage when not being ridden. The rear shock and front fork springs have been replaced with Progressive units. The tires have less than 2000 miles on them. I replaced the front brake disks in Sept.2013-10-03 22:34:19Fremont, California, US52,492900.00

2001 BMW K-Series (2001)
This LT is in excellent condition HOWEVER it has a small gas leak on the right side that needs repair. The paint and seat are in excellent condition. The cruise control works great, the electric windshield works and the heated grips work. This LT is a joy to ride and engine, transmission and final drive are in good shape. Tires are good and the rear only has 1500 miles on it. The fuel leak is probably a rubber fuel line and if you’re a mechanic, I estimate a repair of $502016-11-08 04:40:50Desert Hot Springs, California, United States7617000

Black Beauty BMW K1200LT (2002)
This 2002 BMW K1200LT looks very good and runs great. I am starting this auction very low and without a reserve price, because the front speakers are intermittent and the heated seats and right heated grip are inoperative. To some people that may be a deal breaker and to others it's no big deal. I just believe in full disclosure with anything that I sell. The bike overall looks very good. The only things that keep it from looking perfect is the plastic that go over the gauges is scratched and a small plastic piece is broken from the corner of the top case lever, in addition to very minor ones in the fronts of both mirrors... Pictures 3-6 show full detail. The bike runs great and none of these items affect the ride in any way. Features include...2013-09-25 22:43:34Folsom, California, US64,8003,500.00

2007 BMW K-Series (2007)
I am selling my 2007 BMW K1200LT, as I just bought a 2016 K1600GTLE and don't have room in my garage, nor time to ride both bikes. This LT is immaculate & has been very well maintained, 45,900 miles, all standard features, including the electro-hydraulic center stand (EHCS); cruise control; electrically adjustable windshield; adjustable rear shock; dual front disc brakes; servo-controlled integral ABS brakes; central locking; 3 12V powerlet plugs; reverse gear; radio & single CD player (note – like many LTs, it does not work); stingray storage compartment with stock flashlight; heated seats and handgrips; and left & right fins for regulating slipstream pressure against the rider. Optional equipment and upgrades (over $6,000 invested): · Russell Day Long seat with leather uppers, vinyl sides, rider & passenger backrests, with matching passenger seat recovered by RDL (Russell’s are arguably the best custom motorcycle seats on the market, designed to allow riding all day without fatigue); · Yacugar front & rear shock absorbers (similar, but beefier than Wilburs or Ohlins); · Garmin 590LM GPS (with NuShield anti-glare film & not shown GlareStomper shroud) mounted in place of the stock, obsolete BMW Nav III system, with front & rear tire pressure sensors, and a USB switched power socket; · Spiegler stainless steel brake lines (all LTs should have had the stock lines replaced, if they haven’t been – beware); · PIAA driving lights controlled by an AS-7 Autoswitch (double-clicking the turn signal canceling switch turns them on and off); · Jiffy Tite metal quick disconnects on gas tank fuel lines (safer and more dependable than the stock plastic QDs which are prone to break); · Fix-It-Before-It-Breaks top case latch kit (many LTs have broken latches – this is a beefy kit installed to prevent the latch from ever breaking); · BMW R1200RT left and right handlebar-mounted auxiliary rearview mirrors; · Rider-West top case brake light (briefly flashes the top case brake lights when you hit the brakes for enhanced safety); · Four piece set of Kathy’s Journey luggage (for both side cases, top case, and top case luggage rack); · Centech AP-2 fuse block (allows quick and easy installation of electrical accessories); · V-stream polycarbonate windshield; · Speedbleeder valves on both front and the rear brake calipers & the hydraulic clutch bleed line; · Odessey PC680 battery; and · Clymer Shop Manual. The engine, transmission, & final drive fluids were all changed, gas tank fuel lines, gas & air filters, spark plugs, and one valve bucket were replaced at 42,500 miles. Brake lines, brake pads, & fluid (including clutch fluid) were changed at approximately 40,700 miles. The new front tire (Metzler) has approximately 200 miles wear, while the rear Bridgestone has 6,875 miles on it, and a spare rear is also included with 5/32nds tread remaining. Fly in to Los Angeles International or Burbank’s Bob Hope Airport with a collapsible bag containing your helmet and gear, load the included luggage and you’re ready to ride home anywhere across the country!2016-07-07 04:54:41Northridge, California, United States457,500.00

What’s The Deal With KTM Camshafts?
Fri, 18 Oct 2024Motorcycle.com digs for the truth behind the 790 camshaft hullabaloo Photo by Sebas Romero The internet can be a cruel place sometimes. Keyboard warriors, safe behind the anonymity of their computer screens, can spew words without much thought about the facts or the far reaches of where their words could be seen or heard. What’s worse, seemingly innocent or off-the-cuff remarks can be picked up by a third party and spread like wildfire.
How To Adjust the Clutch Cable on a Motorcycle
Thu, 17 Oct 2024It goes by many names: Clutch free play, clutch slack, or clutch tension describes the amount of free movement your motorcycle’s clutch lever has before it begins pulling on the clutch cable itself. Why does that matter? The clutch installed on your bike is a wear item, and as the friction plates within the clutch wear out from countless engagements and disengagements, they become thinner.

2025 Honda NT1100 Updated for Europe, but Still Not Coming Here
Fri, 04 Oct 2024More than 12,000 sold since 2022, but 0 in North America Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Honda has updated one of its most popular models in Europe, but it’s still not coming to North America. We’ve heard that refrain a lot over the years, and it’s no different for the NT1100 sport-tourer. Introduced in Europe in 2022, the NT1100 is a sport-touring model that shares much of its bones with the CRF1100L Africa Twin.
2025 Husqvarna Vitpilen 801 – First Look
Wed, 02 Oct 2024The Svartpilen 801 has a new roadster-styled sibling, as Husqvarna announces the new “White Arrow” Vitpilen 801. Like the Black Arrow, the Vitpilen adopts the 799cc LC8c Parallel-Twin of the KTM 790 Duke, offering yet a new option to the shared platform. Ryan Adams recently reviewed the Svartpilen 801 and found it a “worthy contender in the market that brings its own unique style alongside proven performance.” That theme continues with the new Vitpilen, which brings its own take, with more aggressive ergonomics and a bright splash of color in yellow (a silver color is also available if you prefer something less flashy).
