Selling a used 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. Title is free and clear. The motorcycle looks and runs like new. No blemishes, no problems, runs and starts perfectly. Very low miles - 4,565. Was used primarily for work transportation (Gretna to Lincoln).
This motorcycle was always garage kept except for the winter months, whereby it was put in my basement. Before and after each ride, the motorcycle was cleaned with professional cleaning rags- you will not find a cleaner, used motorcycle. Details: Dealer installed full GYTR exhaust with carbon fiber heads. In addition, this motorcycle has a tank guard, fender eliminator, and aftermarket mirrors. Maintenance: Oil changed every spring and fall with full synthetic oil. In the spring, filters were changed and the motorcycle was given full inspection including the adjustment of fuel to air intake if necessary. Battery was replaced spring of 2016. Think You’re a Smooth Rider? Yamaha’s SmartRiding App Will Prove It
Fri, 04 Oct 2013Yamaha has released a new app that records and evaluates riding habits. The free Yamaha SmartRiding app (available now in the App store) uses the Apple devices sensors to measure basic telemetry to evaluate how smoothly you handle curves. The app requires the device to be firmly fixed to the motorcycle in either a vertical or horizontal arrangement (the app is compatible with iPhones, iPods and iPads, though I’m not sure how many people will mount a tablet to their motorcycle).

Tue, 20 Jul 2010RANDY de Puniet may well have just been ejected from his LCR Honda RC212V MotoGP racer during qualifying for Sunday's Sachsenring GP but that ain't gonna stop him from bringing one of the company perks with him to Dr Costa's on-circuit surgery. The Frenchman crashed during qualifying after hitting oil and water spilled on track by Jorge Lorenzo's Fiat Yamaha, after it spewed its guts along almost the entire length of the start finished straight. Following the crash De Puniet was whisked away on a stretcher with a suspected broken foot.
Brammo Electric Motorcycles Eligible to Race Against Gas-Powered Bikes in AFM
Tue, 05 Mar 2013Electric Brammo motorcycles will share the grid with gas-powered motorcycles in American Federation of Motorcyclists competitions. The AFM, America’s oldest motorcycle road racing body, announced Brammo riders can compete head-to-head for championships against those riding internal combustion engine motorcycles. The Brammo Empulse R, Empulse TTX and Empulse RR will be eligible for competition.
