2008 Yamaha R6 Special Edition bought with 60 miles on it and currently at 4441 miles. Never dropped and title in hand. Some goodies on the bike are full titanium Akrapovic exhaust system with carbon fiber slip on, k&n race air filter, frame sliders, new Michelin Pilot Pro 4 tires, all fluids changed to synthetic, power commander and dyno jet auto tune system, ASV shorty levers, Custom LED Blaster X integrated rear tail light and a few powder coated pieces to make the bike really stand out. Sharp bike and REALLY well taken care of. The bike comes with the original clear windshield and stock pieces. Bike is garage kept with zero scratches. Joining them are 2012 AMA Pro GoPro Daytona SportBike race winner, Cameron Beaubier, and 2012 AMA Pro Motorcycle-Superstore.com SuperSport race winner, Garrett Gerloff, on their Yamaha Extended Service/Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha Daytona SportBike YZF-R6s. The four riders and their machines recently completed a photo session at Yamaha’s U.S.
A breath of fresh air
Fri, 09 Nov 2012Dean Benstead's air-powered bike project, O2 Pursuit, which we spoke about a year ago, seems to have come along nicely since. Here's a video of the Australian's rotary air compression-engined Yamaha WR250R being taken out for a spin. Apparently it can hit 87 mph and cover more than 60 miles on a scuba-tankful's worth.
Maybe the Evo class is the future for WSB?
Thu, 05 May 2011Did we see the future of World Superbike racing last weekend at the BSB event? Possibly, but only if everyone is on Evo spec machines in 2012. By setting the 2nd fastest lap in race one and running second for a while in race two, the brilliant Alex Lowes proved that with a good grid position an Evo spec machine can be competitive for part race distance at least.
