Yamaha WR tech info
Yamaha WR description
This titled 1992 Yamaha WR 500 2 stroke bike is good looking and in great condition with typical wear and tear. But overall, for a 1992 it is one of the better ones out there. Race it, ride it, collect it! This model was the last of Yamaha's big 2-strokes. It is definitely fun to ride. The bike has a pro-circuit platinum pipe, good tires, bark busters, and comes with a regular and lighted front number plate. Also comes with a regular rear fender and one with a tail light. The rear fender with tail light also comes with MSR tool bag and tools, a real neat combination. Also comes with the owner/service manual, extra spark plugs, and an extra air cleaner. A $200 deposit is required through paypal within 48 hours of winning bid, and the remainder at time of pick-up.This bike is titled and can be licensed, which makes it easier to send international (at buyer's expense). I will not ship bike so local pick up is preferred, but if you make the arrangements, I will help strap on pallet and/or load. I can deliver it to a shipping company for .75 cents a mile. Thanks for looking. Let me know if you have any questions. |

MotoGP to Hold Official Test in Argentina; South American Nation Returning to Calendar for 2014
Thu, 11 Apr 2013Dorna Sports announced there will be a MotoGP test at Argentina’s Circuito Internacional Termas de Rio Hondo in July to allow teams to prepare for the track’s expected addition to the 2014 MotoGP calendar. Argentina was actually supposed to join the MotoGP tour this season, but the round was scrapped because of a dispute between the country and Spain after the Argentine government seized control of a Repsol subsidiary. Repsol is, of course, a prominent sponsor of several teams including Honda‘s factory team.
The Early History Of The Yamaha Champions Riding School
Mon, 22 Sep 2014This just in from the Yamaha Champions Riding School. And if you believe it, we have some snake oil to sell you… The Yamaha Champions Riding School didn’t just spring from the tarmac like a jack-in-the-box with light rebound damping. No.
R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap
Tue, 24 Apr 2012Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
