You are bidding on a Kenny Roberts Edition 1984 Yamaha RZ350.  This is a numbers matching bike (EIN & VIN match) with only 8191 original miles.  This is one of the last 2 strokes produced for the US.  I bought this bike as a project and really went through it.  There are a lot of new parts and most of work is done.  The bike runs.  I do have video of it running, but am unable to download it from my FB page.  I have another RZ and just need some shop space.  I have too many projects.  This bike has a clean Vermont transferrable registration in my name (Vermont doesn't title vehicles over 15 years old...your state will accept this as ownership) New Parts / Key Points- New CDI Box- New DG Pipes- New Duro HF 918 Tires (both Front & Rear) 0 Miles- New Throttle Cables- New Clutch Cable- New Brakes   - Front Master Cylinder Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha Seals)   - Front Calipers Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha seals for both calipers)   - New Front Brake Pads   - Rear Master Cylinder rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha seals)   - Rear Caliper Rebuilt (all new OEM Yamaha Seals)- New Windshield- Carbs were rejetted to spec (carbs still need to be tuned)- New Fork Seals & Forks Rebuilt- New Battery Items that need attention- Horn doesn't work (it's getting power...so the horn just needs replaced)- Small repair to pinhole in fuel tank (as seen in picture).  It doesn't leak.- As stated before, this will need a good carb tune All lights, brake lights & directional lights work as they should.  All body panels are original paint, original decals & original seat cover (as pictured).  The bike is currently winterized and stored.  Feel free to contact me by text anytime.  If you would like to call with any questions, please do so ONLY after 4:30PM EST.  I can be reached at 716-912-6157.  This bike is also for sale locally and this auction is subject to end at any time, for any reason.  Feel free to set an appointment to inspect the bike for yourself.  If shipping is a concern, I have used a trusted & insured national shipper that regularly ships full sized motorcycles anywhere in the continental US for $525.  I will share this information with the winning bidder, as needed.

You are bidding on a 1985 Yamaha RZ350.  This bike is 100% original, down to exhaust, and doesn't appear to have been molested or tampered with.  It's a great restoration candidate for someone who wants a true stocker.  I purchased this bike 6 months ago, with restoration in mind.  I already have another RZ, and just have too many projects.  I've owned this bike for about 6 months now, and it has just sat in my shop. When I picked it up, the guy notified me it had been sitting for 10+ years in his garage.  This 2 stroke is sure to be a fun bike for someone... Good things to know about this bike:- Clean paperwork     - Vermont Transferrable Registration in MY name.- Complete and Original     - I have yet to find something missing from this bike.  I'm not perfect, so check the pics for yourself.- Numbers matching     - VIN & EIN match exactly- This is a 1985 RZ350, making it much more desirable than the 1984 version.     - The ignition and electrical is significantly better than the 84, with far less issues.- Engine turns freely     - Compression tested at 110 PSI when I picked it up 6 months ago     - Could need a rebuild, or since it's been dry for so long, compression could come up once fired up and has oil in it.- Cooling system is full.     - Anti Freeze full, with NO leaks.- Brake systems work     - Both master cylinders filled with fluid and work.     - This is rare when bikes sit this long, which SHOULD save you expensive rebuilds and parts costs.- Key is included     - Ignition, fuel cap & helmet lock are all keyed the same  The Bad:- The fuel tank is in rough shape     - There are a few dents in the typical RZ locations where the bars hit the tank.     - There are misc pinholes in tank and some decent holes in the bottom sides of the tank     - Depending on your skill or patience, it may be able to be fixed.  I'm NOT a body guy.  I took pics of all blemishes for you to decide for yourself.- I literally know NOTHING else about bike     - I did a quick inspection upon purchase, powerwashed 10 years of dust from it and it's sat ever since I reserve the right to end auction at ANY time, as this bike is also FOR SALE locally.  Feel free to make an appointment to stop by and visually inspect for your self.  716-481-7442 Don't let distance discourage you from shipping the bike.  The shipper I use, or can recommend, can ship anywhere in lower 48 states for $450.  I have used them multiple times, but most recent time was 4 months ago.

2024 Yamaha MT-09 SP Review – First Ride

Wed, 28 Aug 2024

Better suspension and Track mode brings us so close to an R9 Photos by Dave Schelske As the tail rider in a train of approximately seven identical Yamahas, I couldn’t help but watch in awe as each of us weaved our way through the notorious Tail of the Dragon, bending the bike underneath us to our will through the 120-something corners, the unison of the dance mesmerizing as each of us took our turn, one by one, around each apex, at irresponsible speeds, front wheels inches away from the person in front of us. This is the kind of trust you build up after you’ve ridden with the same group of people for years on end. We all know that riding with your friends is fun.

2024 Yamaha MT-09 Review – First Ride

Tue, 14 May 2024

More minor changes in anticipation of the R9 Photos by Joseph Agustine. There really wasn’t a reason to update Yamaha’s MT-09. We love the MT-09, and apparently you do too – it’s been Yamaha’s best-selling MT model for a decade.

2024 Yamaha Ténéré 700 First Ride

Wed, 13 Dec 2023

Small updates keep the T7 fresh, but we're still missing out on the European variants Photos by Yamaha/Joseph Agustin Photo Yamaha’s popular Ténéré 700 “T7” adventure bike returns for 2024, and while it would be easy to say it is “largely unchanged” from the 2023 model, there have been some notable changes made in response to feedback from many North American riders. One wish still unrealized: the U.S. dealers won’t be getting the up-spec World Raid and numerous other versions of the T7 the EU enjoys - at least not this year.

2024 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Review

Thu, 17 Aug 2023

Riding 950 miles across three states in two days highlights this Tracer’s capabilities Photography by Joseph Augustin New motorcycle model introductions follow a well-worn path: travel to the event location, eat nice meals, get briefed on the bike of the moment, ride a route designed to highlight the bike’s strengths, take photos/video, eat more good food, return home, and write up a review. After 27 years in this industry, I still get a cheap thrill about throwing a leg over a new motorcycle before it is available to the general public. However, what really gets me going is when I have a chance to log more than just the couple of hundred miles typically covered in an intro and spend some real time on the road with said bike.

2023 Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Review – First Ride

Thu, 18 May 2023

Yamaha’s sports tourer middleweight receives an influx of technology for 2023 Astute readers are probably wondering why Motorcycle.com is publishing a First Ride of a bike that’s not coming to the States this model year. Our reasoning is that, thanks to the sleuthing of Dennis Chung, we suspect the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ will be coming to the U.S. in 2024.

Yamaha Tracer 9 GT+ Finally Coming to US for 2024

Thu, 06 Apr 2023

Sport-tourer equipped with radar-based adaptive cruise control Last November, Yamaha Motor Europe revealed a new Tracer 9 GT+ at EICMA, a new version of its Triple-powered sport tourer equipped with a 7-inch TFT display, adaptive cruise control, and a radar-linked unified braking system. Yamaha Motor USA, however, remained quiet about it, and we later learned the Tracer 9 GT+ was not coming to the States for 2023. In fact, even the less techy regular Tracer 9 was left out of Yamaha Motor USA’s returning model announcements.

Yamaha MT-10 SP Project Bike - Update 1

Thu, 26 Jan 2023

Everythings installed and initial impressions. It’s been about a month since we introduced Motorcycle.com’s 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP semi-long-term project bike. In case you forgot the premise of this whole thing, Yamaha offered us the opportunity to hang on to an MT-10 SP for an extended period of time, and since I have a soft spot for the bike, I decided to give it some tasteful upgrades to address some key weaknesses while also unleashing some trapped potential.

Introducing Motorcycle.com's 2022 Yamaha MT-10 SP Semi Long Term Bike

Tue, 20 Dec 2022

Tasteful mods and curvy miles are in store. Credit: Photos by Joseph Agustin (Lead Photo) Long-term test bikes aren’t something we normally do here at Motorcycle.com, but when Yamaha’s PR guy Gerrad Capley said I could take the MT-10 SP home after the press intro, it was an offer that was hard to resist. When I asked him how long I could have it, he basically shrugged his shoulders and winked.
