    I got a couple of old Yami's that I'm looking to get rid of.  They're 70's enduros.  The red one runs and rides.  Has new tires and tubes as of last year.  Also put on a new seat cover.  It stops like you would think a 40 year old bike with drum brakes does.... Poorly.  It runs good, kind of a cold blooded bastard.  But its a lot of fun, pretty dang peppy. My buddies and I thought it would be cool to do up a couple old bikes and ride them so that's what we did.  They soon realized that we're old and have kids and wives so it's hard to get out and ride them.  This bike has sat since last fall and I went out last week and gave it a couple kicks and it fired right up.  I took a couple laps around the property and put it back in the barn.  So yes it does run, shifts through all the gears.

      For sale is my 1972 Yamaha DS7 with an RD350 engine.   This project has been a labor of love for several years.  I am 57 years old and an enthusiast and I love building as much as riding.  It's simply time for a new project.  All work, including paint, was completed by me with the exception of crank bearings and bore/hone.  As a qualifier, I won MotoGP tickets in a Yamaha USA contest with this bike and First Place Yamaha Restoration for another project at the largest west coast two-stroke event in 2011.  The story:  Purchased as a runner in rough condition, I began the project with a complete disassemble and cleaning.  Then: -          Sandblasted and painted frame and brackets with PJ1 gloss black -          Replaced forks with “Forks by Frank” units – they are perfect. -          Replaced swing arm bushings with brass units. -          Progressive Suspension rear shocks -          “Gunfighter” seat cushion and cover from Nebraska (no Viet Nam) -          Like new seat pan and hinges -          Light weight and sealed battery -          Wiring harness is 100% original and clean with no cuts or mods.

     Up for sale is my 1978 sr500 Yamaha.I purchased it new/used from the dealer in Kingsport Tn.It had 111miles on the clock!The owner didnt like kick starting brought it back for a refund!Over the years it has evolved into what you see now!The motor has less than 2 miles on it since the rebuild!I have the old rings and timing chain in the boxs and the card board the gaskets came on in the photo.Everything was purchased thru thumper stuff.Brake pads were replaced.High volume oil line to the exhaust.Supper Trapp Exhaust.Avon Super Venom's are several years old look good.K&N air and breather filter.You get a K&N spray recharge kit.3 new oil filters.New filter in it will need changing after break in.Rear set were custom made.Seen a set on e-bay for over $300!The fairing is a Ducati SS type from time machine fiber glass reproductions.End mount mirrors.Front sprocket is largest one available.The custom made seat is fiberglass cover over the stock pan.The cowel has some cracks in the gel coat. It comes with all the spare parts pictured.I have owned several sr's for parts.The spare frame is bent and one of the forks pictured. It has been in storage but it started up after a few trys's it will need a new battery.It will not hold its charge.I may have the stock handle bars.If I can find them they go with it.I am selling due to health reason.My bag man tank bag is also included.

  • Excellent 1992 Yamaha TDM850 very low milesExcellent 1992 Yamaha TDM850 very low miles (1992)
    Offering an excellent shape recently gone through TDM850.  These are extremely reliable bikes,  once a few upgrades are done.   Most owners won't sell a TDM until it has 30,000 or 40,000 miles or more. Bought a nice, low miles TDM850 that had sat a bit,  and been layed over one time lightly.  I went through the bike front to back.   Bike only has light rash,  replaced upper fairing, added sport windshield added height.  Replaced tires are brand new Road Pilot 3s.   Less than 250 miles on tires.   Replaced fork oil and upgraded stock fork springs with progressive firmer springs.  Much improvement in handling.  Pulled fuel tank -  flushed tank out and cleaned,  tank inside almost perfect.  Pulled and disassembled carbs,  replaced needle jets,  upped main jet, jetted well.  replaced air filter, added dual fuel in-line filters.    The TDM 850 main weakness is the mechanical fuel pump and the carbs sit higher than the tank fuel level when fuel is low.   With the mechanical pump if you run a TDM out of fuel,  it takes a ton of cranking or re-prime to re-start,  way too much hassle.  Solution is to replace the fuel pump with an electric pump R6 type.  This made a world of difference the bike fuels more evenly,  and no issues if you ever run it out,  it self-primes and restarts no issue.   Nice tank and OEM seat. Replaced the stock, heavy, rust-prone steel exhaust system with big heavy under bike collector box, with a Euro Viper 1-into-2 dual canister slip on-system.  Eliminated 15 lbs weight,  much improved exhaust flow and throttle response,  nice subdued but throaty sound, but not droning or loud at all.   Removable sport baffles if you want an even throatier sound.

So much so that Yamaha has announced a unique opportunity to bid on a historic set of road racing leathers, boots, gloves, and helmet as worn by Edwards during this, his final season in MotoGP. Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Feed the Children, which is Yamaha Motor Corporation’s official corporate charity.

Josh Hayes captured his third and fourth wins of the 2014 AMA Superbike season to take the double at Barber Motorsports Park. The two wins moved Hayes to the top of the championship standings from third as the three-time champion put himself in good position to win a fourth. Race One The Monster Energy Graves Yamaha rider had a relatively easy Race One as several top rivals crashed on the hot Alabama track.
