  • 75 Triumph Trident T16075 Triumph Trident T160 (1975)
I’m selling my 1975 Triumph T160 Trident that I restored 15 yrs. ago.  The only part missing is the cover over the starter motor.  This was a complete teardown, every nut and bolt was removed, and the numbers match.  I have a photo collection of the rebuild which is NOT part of the auction.  I will be glad to show it to the winner bidder if they pick it up.  The owner’s manual and factory service manual go with the bike as well.  I did not ride this bike that much (5000 miles) since restoring, and have not ridden it this year as it does need new tires.  The bike drives and handles very nice and has plenty of power.  As is every year it will most likely need a battery since I don’t remove it in the winter.  I did convert the ignition over to the Boyer electronic which is a big improvement over the original three points set–up. The bike currently reads 13K miles, but the cable was broken when I bought it.  The tach stopped working last year, and after inspection it most likely is the drive gear (available part) that engages the cam shaft as the cable and tach work fine.

This original un-restored machine is 100% as it was when delivered from the factory 41 years ago with the exception of the oil pressure warning light being replaced by an actual oil pressure gauge. It is one(1) of four(4) bikes for sale from my collection, and is currently part of a two(2) month exhibit ending 9/5/16 at The Stony Brook Museum Educational and Cultural Center in Stony Brook, New York. I have owned and maintained this bike for 15 years, having put about 10,000 trouble free miles on it during that time.

Up for auction is this nice condition 1975 Triumph T160 Trident. This is an unrestored bike that has always been a runner, yet has relatively low mileage at fewer than 18,000. Appearance is mostly original but for the exhaust system which is an extravagant and beautiful, Viking brand, hand-made header and genuine Dunstall Decibal silencers of the correct '75 model year.

2025 Triumph Tiger Sport 800 Review – First Ride

Tue, 04 Feb 2025

Look out, the Tiger Sport 800 is on the prowl Photos by Chippy Wood and Gareth Harford/Triumph Motorcycles The motorcycling landscape is a place of wondrous flux as manufacturers vie for position amongst current trends. It's called striking while the iron is hot, folks, and it's what keeps the lights on around here. For some time now, the traditional sport-touring class has been left out of the fun, relegated to the room's corner chair, where it's watched a bullish ADV segment enter the market's collective garages – oh, the indignity!

2025 Triumph Speed Twin 1200 Review – First Ride

Fri, 06 Dec 2024

The sportiest modern classic continues to push the performance envelope Photos by Triumph Motorcycles. Selling 20,000 units since its reintroduction in 2019, the Speed Twin had once topped the charts as Triumph’s best selling model before being unseated by the likes of the excellent standard Trident 660, and now the equally impressive TR400 machines. For 2025, the Speed Twin 1200 not only gets enhanced electronics by way of an IMU and slight styling upgrades, but is also now joined by a pointedly sport-focused RS model that ups the ante of what a modern classic is capable of.

More spinning mass for the Tiger’s Triple For the 2024 model year, the US will see only the Tiger 1200 Explorer models hitting dealership floors, while our friends up north will have the Pro models only. 2024 Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400 X Review – First Ride

Mon, 26 Feb 2024

Two new lightweights that deliver vastly different experiences The folks in Hinckley have been busy in recent years bolstering Triumph’s reputation as a two-wheeled powerhouse of tech and performance. In the past six months or so, however, it’s also been releasing new models across its product line and entering highly competitive segments that are new to the British marque in the modern era. Now, with its new 398cc liquid-cooled, four-valve Single, the company is poised to attack the lightweight/entry-level class.
