Triumph Trident description
I will probably regret it but it time to thin a herd a bit as I have a bad back and don't ride much anymore so I will start with my 74 Triple. Frame and engine numbers match. About 3 years ago I had the cylinders honed with new rings and the top end gone through. It was painted in the last 3 years along with new chain, fork seals, decals, brake hoses, rebuilt caliper and master cylinder, Tri-Spark ignition (no points) , Venhill clutch cable, plug wires etc. Seat is original as are the Dunlop K81 TT100 tires which are not dry rotted . I wouldn't drive them on the highway just in case but the original crowd make like them. I just put some fresh gas in it and it starts fine. One of the issues with the crappy gas these days is that the idle passages get gummed up and you have you have to do the .016 drill bit thing since the gas is such crap. It's on a clean NY title. I'm located in Charlotte , if you want a NC title in my name it will cost you $100 if memory serves me correctly.
This bike is almost 40 years old and is sold as-is and where-is with no warranty expressed or implied. Seriously, if you are bidding on this bike you know what you are buying. Shipping arrangements are the responsibility of the seller and I will hold the bike for a reasonable period of time once paid for.Note that I replaced the left side fuel line today after the old one started leaking so it won't match what's in the pictures.

Tue, 08 Nov 2011Triumph’s legendary Speed Triple receives the ‘R’ treatment for 2012, which means it comes equipped with top-shelf parts like Öhlins suspension and Pirelli Supercorsa SP rubber. Judging from its looks alone, it’s plain to see that this is no ordinary Speed Triple. Triumph worked in close collaboration with Öhlins, to fine tune the NIX30 43mm fork and TTX36 shock to work specifically for the Speed Triple R.
