Triumph Tiger description

2007 Triumph TIGER ABS, Dealers choice ! I am the proud second owner of this bike, purchased directly from the owner of a Ducati/Triumph/Honda dealership. This was his personal bike with optional factory ABS customized with a Two Brothers carbon fiber exhaust, extended windshield, heated grips, hand guards, and center stand, the quick ability to add factory color matched and keyed hard side cases, and a convenient factory rear seat bag converting quickly to a sport tourer this bike has it all ! Excellent condition. Always garage kept, never dropped. Runs Great ! 2007 was a major evolutionary step in the models history. While its sharp lines and performance spec make the Tigers sporting credentials clear from a glance, its stunning looks hide a practical streak, the relaxed riding position, spacious seat, supple suspension and tractable torquey engine guarantee you arrive fresh at the end of the longest day. Ditch the bags, go it alone and head for a bit of fun at strange angles. Tucked into a brilliantly balanced chassis, the Tigers potent engine with long rev ranges delivers power throughout and ear to ear grins. Then its back to the city where the Tiger slinks through snarled up traffic and the sleek lines look sharp as a knife. Here the commanding view really comes into its own, giving the rider the jump on everyone, while the wide bars make tight maneuvers childs play. At the new Tigers heart is the amazing 1,050 cc, fuel-injected, three-cylinder engine. This motor, known for its addictive character, has plenty of torque and impressive amounts of horsepower, with ample reserves of both for those two-up fully laden tours. Peak power of 114 bhp is delivered at 9,400 rpm, with 74 ft. lbs. of torque at 6,250 rpm. It has all the all-round practicality and comfort of the old Tiger a broad, supportive seat for rider and pillion, relaxed ergonomics but also a composure and sporting ability that few, if any, will be able to match. The twin-spar aluminum frame is new as is the braced aluminum swingarm. New too are the cast aluminum wheels, both are now 17-inches allowing a wider choice of tires the front tires a 120/70 ZR17, the rear a 180/55 ZR17. The 43 mm upside down fully adjustable forks and remote spring preload and rebound damping adjustable rear shock provide an almost magic carpet-like ride over the most varied of surfaces, from the roughest tarmac to the smoothest blacktop asphalt. Twin four-piston radial calipers bite 320 mm front discs, the rear 255 mm disc uses a single twin-piston caliper. The Tigers seat height is a manageable 32.9-inch, matched to a dry weight of 416-pounds, fuel capacity is 5.2 gallons. Supremely comfortable, two-up tourer sporty solo funster or sleek, stylish city bike: There are very few genuine all-round motorcycles in existence the Tiger is most certainly one of them. $8,199.00 732-616-7990

Triumph Releases Third Adventure Bike Teaser Video

Fri, 03 Sep 2010

Triumph has released the third in a series of videos teasing its two upcoming adventure motorcycles, this one describing the bikes’ new chassis. We know from the first two installments that Triumph is developing two models, one focused for on-road riding, the other for off-road, and both models will use a mid-sized long-stroke three-cylinder engine. The third part tells us the two models will use a steel frame and feature an upright riding geometry.

Motorcycle.com Adds a New Editor

Mon, 05 Nov 2012

While some moto publications are cutting back and constricting, Motorcycle.com is proud to announce the addition of a new editor to our masthead. MO readers, meet Jon Langston, our new Associate Editor. I knew Langston was a cool cat when I first met him at the Harley-Davidson Blackline unveiling in January 2011.

May Day Run: Toy Story 3 Street Triple

Tue, 03 May 2011

Every year on the first Bank holiday in May more than 25,000 bikers take to the A21 and ride to Hastings for what is Kent’s biggest bike meet. The official route starts at Locksbottom in London and follows the A21 all the way to the coastal town of Hastings. We picked up the 50 mile spectator-clad route about half way down and in our group of 5 took a casual poodle down.
