1971 Triumph Other (1971)
This circa 1971 Rickmann Metisse was completely disassembled and rebuilt from the ground up. The 500cc Triumph twin engine was done by the late Jim Strohmeier and chassis work by Matt Hilgenberg of Speed & Sport. Frame was nickle plated, rims powdercoated and laced with SS spokes/nipples, new wheel bearings, replated hardware, seat cover, fork seals, tires & tubes. All chromed parts rechromed; all alloy polished. I built the wiring harness to incorporate head and tail lights and horn. Electrics controlled by a Mity-Max regulator/rectifier/battery eliminator. 1971 Triumph TR6R Classic Vintage 650cc Motorcycle (1971)
I have a vintage classic Triumph TR6R 650cc motorcycle. I got it about a year and a half ago and got it into a somewhat decent, safe, rideable condition. When I got it there was a lot wrong and I've done quite a bit of work to get it to where it is good to ride. I hate to sell it since I love riding it but my daughter has had some medical problems and I need to help her out. Most everything that was replaced as new was around a year or so ago. I've put almost 3500 miles on it since so there will be some wear for the new items. Bike is currently registered as an Antique and has a clear transferable title in my name. Frame and engine are matching numbers. Details both good and bad. As I said this is a rider and will make a good project for someone or just take it out and enjoy it. 1971 Cheney /Triumph 500 MX COMPLETELY RESTORED (1971)
Up for sale is one completely restored Cheney /Triumph 500 MX I was told there were less than 50 of these produced with the twin 500 I bought the bike 8 years ago from a guy here in California and was his fathers since new . It was negleted through the years and needed to be restored I took many pictures and took it all the way apart , Took original 1971 Triumph engine to Performance Cycle and had them completely rebuild the engine and transmission Cases and head were tumbled and covers were polished I have the original 2 into 1 down pipe and is in perfect shape and re chromed Frame and components were striped and nickel plated to orignal Hubs and akront rims were polished and laced up with stainless spokes from Buchanan INC.One fender was missing and the other was a plastic one I contacted Simon Cheney and he found new front and rear fenders , Tank decals , and some other small missing parts I needed . Tank had some small dents and dings So I had a specialist take them out , then polished the tank and had it anodized the original red New tires, tubes , chain, grips, bars, levers, cables, etc etc Completely Restored.2013-10-02 15:31:09Sacramento, California, US1017,500.00 -
