2014 Triumph Scrambler, 2014 Triumph Scrambler In the 1960s, far from civilisation and regular roads, stripped down desert bikes based on Triumph twins and fitted with high level exhausts, dirt bike tyres and suspension were being used for hard recreational fun and competition on tough terrain. The Monster 696 is a great all-around bike that is perfect for a beginner but still plenty of bike for an experienced rider.  It's lightweight and easy to handle.  It has plenty of torque to make you smile every time you crack open the throttle, but it can also be ridden as tamely as you like.  You decide; take it easy or let the Monster out and tear it up.  The handling and brakes are what you would expect from a Ducati: superb!  This one has only 674 miles on it and it is truly nearly perfect.  The footpeg mounts show a little wear from normal use and the area of the tank right above the front of the seat has some very minor scratches from being leaned on while riding.  This could be easily buffed out or covered with a tank protector.
