Piaggio Reports Q1 2012 Results

Increased scooter sales offset a drop in motorcycle sales, but both segments reported increases in net sales for the Piaggio Group in the first quarter of 2012. According to Piaggio‘s first quarter report, the Group sold 9,400 motorcycles worldwide, down 8.2% from the 10,300 units sold in the same quarter last year. Scooter sales however saw a 7.9% increase to 79,200 units from 73,400 units.

2022 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello First Look

First production motorcycle with active aerodynamics After teasing us with a preview of the new 2022 Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello in September, the Piaggio Group released further details on the new sport-touring model at EICMA. The Moto Guzzi V100 Mandello is named for the brand’s 100th anniversary and its historic home in Mandello del Lario, Italy, but it comes packed with features that point more to the brand’s future than its past. The V100 Mandello boasts the world’s first adaptive aerodynamics system for a production motorcycle, and it is also the first Moto Guzzi to be equipped with a liquid-cooled engine, quick shift, six-axis inertial measurement unit (IMU) and, for the higher trim option, semi-active suspension.

When the Rough gets going . Moto Guzzi expanded its entry-level lineup with three new variants of the V7 III: the Milano, Carbon and Rough. The new models offer more choices to account for personal style, with the same practical, fun and friendly character of the other V7’s, the basic Stone, swanky Special and café-styled Racer.
