Moto Guzzi Ambassador description

This is a very nice Guzzi that I at one time put a ton of time and money into... my taste has changed and the Guzzi just sits so its time for it to go.

This bike was completely gone through when I first got it, new top end as the originals had chrome lining and I was worried about them, new spline gear in the rear that had to be custom made... added the Bates bags, replaced some wires, I have a huge list that I can provide to the buyer upon purchase but those are the highlights.

I left the oil in the case, put seafoam in the tank, poured mystery oil in the heads and stored it 4 years ago. I have no doubt it will run and drive well once resurrected, I do not have the time or the interest in doing so... as you can see by other auctions I am cleaning house.

I included a picture of the gear shift shaft, there is a spline shaft that accepts the shift linkage, that has come off in the past and may need to be reset, otherwise I have put many miles on her, very comfortable machine.

I prefer pick up but would load for the shipper you provide

Piaggio Reports Q1 2013 Results

Mon, 06 May 2013

The Piaggio Group reported an 11.6% drop in net sales for the first quarter of 2013, the result of a struggling economy and unseasonably cold weather in Europe and a flatlining two-wheeler market in Vietnam. There was however some good news in North America, Vespa sales in India and a 27.8% increase in Moto Guzzi sales. According to the company’s first quarter report, Piaggio reported net sales of 303.4 million euros (US$396.8 million), down from net sales of 343.1 million euros reported the same quarter of 2012.

Piaggio Reports Q3 2011 Results

Tue, 01 Nov 2011

Piaggio announced a net profit of 46.3 million euros (US$63.3 million) over the first nine months of 2011. That represents a slight dip from the 46.7 million euros (US$63.8 million) over the same period of 2010, but still respectable numbers in the face of a shrinking market for motorcycles in Europe. The decrease in profit comes despite a 2.0% increase in net sales, with Piaggio taking in 1.20 billion euros (US$1.64 billion) over the first three quarters.
