Up for auction is my 16 KTM 500 EXC Super Motard. Purchased new in June, added the "Motard Kit" that includes 17" Warp 9 rims and Michelin Pilot tires, FMF F4.1 Titanium can, emissions delete, re-map, and a Seat Concepts (softer padding, extended width, factory height) seat with orange stitching. All work and service has been done by my local KTM dealer and has just had the 2000 mile service and valve check done. This bike is like a scalpel on the road, very light, super fast and tons of torque. Always garage kept, adult ridden and never laid down. I have all of the stock parts, including the off road tires on the factory rims (98%+ tread) and will be included with the sale. I will also include if interested a Bell MX9 Adventure helmet (size L) with clear and smoked screen and a KTM Race Lite riding jacket (size L).
Will be taking it out during nice weather, so mileage may change slightly. Bike is located in Eldred, N.Y. and can be shown evenings or weekends. I'd be more then happy to answer any questions and/or send more photos as well. Serious inquires only, no tire kickers, no test drivers. Bike can also be shipped for an additional fee to crate up and drop off. Shipping, taxes, tags is the purchasers responsibility. |

Riding round the north of Scotland
Mon, 20 Aug 2012I’m ashamed to say that until last week, I had no idea what incredible roads and scenery the North West of Scotland had to offer. Starting at Helensburgh just west of Glasgow, ten of us (including ex racers Duffus, MacPherson, Morrison and Simpson,) rode 600 miles round the coast then back down to Inverness. On mostly empty but immaculate roads we lost count of the mountains, lochs and sandy beaches along the way.
2014 Bajaj Pulsar 375 – The Fully-Faired Indian Version of the KTM 390 Duke Spied
Mon, 14 Jan 2013Indian website Powerdrift has uncovered photographs of what it claims to be a Bajaj Pulsar 375, a faired sportbike based on the KTM 390 Duke. A Bajaj-branded version of the 390 Duke should be no surprise. The Indian company, after all, owns a 47% stake in Austrian-based KTM, and it released its own version of the 200 Duke in the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar 200NS.
2014 AMA Supercross – Detroit Results
Mon, 17 Mar 2014Yoshimura Suzuki‘s James Stewart captured his third win of the 2014 AMA Supercross season and 48th 450 class victory of his career, tying him with Ricky Carmichael for second on the all-time win list behind Jeremy McGrath‘s 72. Racing before a crowd of 50,856 fans at Ford Field in Detroit, Stewart took the lead from holeshot-taker Cole Seely shortly before the end of the second lap and led the rest of the 20-lap race for the win. Stewart led by as much as 7.1 second but eased off at the end, crossing the finish less than two seconds ahead of Kawasaki‘s Ryan Villopoto.
