SELLING: My 2012 KTM 500EXC. This terrific bike has just over 1400 miles. It's been well maintained and has brand new set of Dunlop 606 tires and a new battery.
Among the few tasteful upgrades are FMF Q4 exhaust, Ohlins Steering Dampener, Billet Kickstand, Aluminum skid plate and Factory hand guards. I've also added an Acerbis oversized fuel tank that adds and extra gallon. There are normal signs of use for a 4 year old bike such as scuffs on the hand guards and plastics, but it's always been respectfully ridden and never abused. I'm a 50 year old rider with a bad wrist, which is the reason I've decided to sell it. Bike comes with a clean Florida Title, two sets of keys and factory manual. 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
KTM Reports 2011 Results
Fri, 17 Feb 2012KTM reported a 22.4% increase in worldwide motorcycle sales in 2011, raking in a net profit of 20.7 million euros. According to KTM‘s year-end fiscal report, the Austrian company sold 81,200 units in 2011, compared to 66,327 units in 2010. KTM attributes the gains to the launch of its latest EXC off-road competition lineup and the entry-level 125 Duke.
Erik Buell Racing 1190RS and KTM RC8R Make AMA Superbike Debuts
Mon, 11 Jul 2011The July 8-10 Mid-Ohio round of the 2011 AMA Superbike series featured the debut of two new superbikes, the Erik Buell Racing 1190RS and the KTM RC8R Race Spec. Chris Fillmore (11) finished an impressive seventh place in a red-flagged Race One for KTM-HMC Racing while Geoff May (99) placed eleventh on the Amsoil EBR 1190RS. The second race saw both riders finish in the top ten with Fillmore in ninth and May in the ten spot.
