I bought this Indian as a repossession.  It was never crashed or dropped.  California required a Salvage title.  I performed a complete rebuild and custom paint job. Then drove it about 10,000 miles when I bought one of the last factory 2003/2004 crate engines that were sent to dealers to replace the early flawed PowerPlus-100 engines and installed it about 4 years ago.  This engine had all of the original factory flaws corrected at the Gilroy factory before its demise so there is no worry on that account.  I have since driven only about 1600 miles on the new engine.  It performs flawlessly. It now needs a clutch adjustment or replacement but otherwise is in very good mechanical condition.

Up for sale a beautifull indian chief, by  gilroy factory, has some paint issues and little polishing of aluminum here and there. technicly it is a solid machine, with mew fluids and filter, as well as upgraded 2.4 kw starter that actually turns its compression over with no problem. new speedo as the old one wasnt displaying anything, ( previous owner said it had less than 2000 mi on it when he parked it), i put on 330 miles after updates to make sure its got no issues.

We just finished a 2002 Chief with the power plus motor only 7k miles, this indian is biger and heavier that the new ones. Is like a tank with the 100 cubic inch Indian Power Plus motor  brand new leather seats in the bike and Sidecar with leather wall panels, a princess door, brand new custom paint shop with Indian factory color, brand new Indian Motorcycle windshield, brand new set of new Indian Keys, brand new tires. The bike is up to date in all the recalls, she starts in a dime and she drives beautiful.

I have a 2002 Indian Chief that has a fresh motor rebuild by Revolution Performance in WI to replace crank pin and oil pump as the were common issues with the Power Plus motor. Runs PERFECT and is in perfect working condition. ALL aluminum was removed, polished and show chromed.

Up for auction is this Indian Chief. This a a barn find. The bike has had the motor redone with a stroker kit.
