    The Honda XR400R was built with the serious off-road enthusiasts in mind!  This 2001 Honda XR400R has been well maintained, starts right up and runs great.  There are some scratches from offroad use, but the bike is in overall very nice shape (see detailed pictures).  The bike is all stock with the exception of aluminum bars, aluminum skidplate, the XR’s Only Competion Exhaust and a Mikuni Pumper Carburetor ($400 extra!).  The Accelerator Pump Carburetor not only makes the XR400R a one-kick start performance-minded machine, but it also eliminates the very noticeable flat spot that exists right off the bottom of the powerband. This is the carburetor that should have been on the XR400R from the factory!  These bikes are getting harder and harder to find and this is your chance to pick one up for a great price!  The XR is a slim, nimble handling bike with outstanding steering, air cooling and is the choice of 90 percent of adventure tour/off-road rental companies for a reason.  The XR models are known for their outstanding reliability and performance and this bike won’t let you down.  Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy and feel free to ask any and all questions.  See detailed pictures provided and if you need more, I am willing to take additional or show the bike in person.  This bike is for local pickup only.  Shipping IS NOT included and would be 100% buyer's responsibility.  Once payment is received, I will store the bike at no charge until you pick up or arrange for shipping (up to 2 weeks unless otherwise agreed upon).  This bike is also for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early.  This bike is sold with a bill of sale only (no title issued for this bike).

We’ve known the XR150L and the low-seat CRF300LS were on the way, after the two dual sports were included on a list of motorcycles certified by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

A US announcement is expected soon Last month, we reported that Honda was preparing to bringing the XR150L dual sport to the U.S. market, introducing an air-cooled carbureted model marketed internationally as an agricultural vehicle to America. While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
