Up for auction is a 1998 Honda XR 400 in excellent running condition. Bought this bike from original owner. It had been in a storage facility for years and has very little use. It had the original Dunlop tires. They were replaced with Bridgestones because original ones were weather check. It's in immaculate condition, starts and runs great and everything works as it should. Have a video of it running I can send if requested, but cannot download it on ebay pics. It does not have a title, but can provide a bill of sale of needed. A very nice XR 200R, the cleanest and nicest I have ever seen. It starts the first kick and everything works as it should. Depending on your weight you may have to adjust the shock but otherwise this one is ready to ride or race. I purchased it for my wife but she never rides it, but many consider the XR 200R the ultimate woods bike and one of the easiest to ride. There are some scratches from offroad use, but the bike is in overall very nice shape (see detailed pictures). The bike is all stock with the exception of aluminum bars, aluminum skidplate, the XR’s Only Competion Exhaust and a Mikuni Pumper Carburetor ($400 extra!). The Accelerator Pump Carburetor not only makes the XR400R a one-kick start performance-minded machine, but it also eliminates the very noticeable flat spot that exists right off the bottom of the powerband. While we’re still waiting for a formal announcement form American Honda, it’s Canadian counterparts confirmed the XR150L will be arriving to North America.

Sun, 29 Jan 2023By John Burns 1990 Honda ST1100 begat 2003 Honda ST1300, which begat 2014 Honda CTX1300… which at some point in the last few years seems to have gone, mercifully, the way of all flesh. Now if it’s a Honda sport tourer you crave, it’s the Gold Wing or, well, that’s about it. Anyway, the big 1261cc V-four ST1300 was quite the long-distance mile muncher 20 years ago.
